    Abstract: A communication system is disclosed, in which a mobile telephone has a control-plane connection to a first base station and communicates user data using at least one communication bearer provided via a second base station. The base stations are configured to exchange information relating to the data rate required for the mobile telephone via the second base station. The first base station derives, based on the exchanged information, an aggregated maximum bit rate (AMBR) parameter specific to the second base station and provides the derived AMBR parameter to the second base station for use in data rate enforcement for the mobile telephone's communications via the second base station.

    Abstract: When a secondary cell of carrier aggregation has been activated, a radio terminal (2) communicates with a radio access network (RAN) node (1) in an active downlink (DL) bandwidth part (BWP) selected from among a plurality of DL BWPs for the secondary cell. In addition, when the secondary cell is in a dormant state, the radio terminal (2) transmits to the RAN node (1), via a primary cell or another activated serving cell of the carrier aggregation, a channel 10 state information report for a target DL BWP selected from among the plurality of DL BWPs. It is thus, for example, possible to allow the radio terminal to perform channel a state information measurement on a dormant SCell that has been configured with a plurality of BWPs.

    Abstract: A master node (MN) (1) controls the MN (1) to enable, for a radio terminal (3), dual connectivity using a Master Cell Group (MCG) provided by the MN (1) and a Secondary Cell Group (SCG) provided by a secondary node (SN) (2). The MN (1) sends an indication regarding an MCG failure to the SN (2). The MN (1) transmits an RRC message related to recovery of the MCG failure to the radio terminal (3), via an SCG part of a split signalling radio bearer between the MN (1) and the radio terminal (3). This, for example, allows the SN to learn of an occurrence of the MCG failure.

    Abstract: A master RAN node (1) sends, to a control plane function (5) in a core network (4), a modification request for modification of a first PDU session already established between a radio terminal (3) and a user plane function (6) in the core network (4). The modification request implicitly or explicitly indicates that PDU session split is needed for the first PDU session. The modification request causes the control plane function (5) to control the user plane function (6) to move a specific one or more QoS flows of a plurality of QoS flows associated with the first PDU session from a first tunnel between the user plane function (6) and the master RAN node (1) to a second tunnel between the user plane function (6) and a secondary RAN node (2). This contributes, for example, to implementing PDU session split in a radio communication network.

    Abstract: A radio station (2) transmits or receives, to or from a radio terminal (1) in a second cell (23, 24), a CP message containing a NAS message or an RRC message or both, when a predetermined condition is satisfied. The second cell (23, 24) uses a RAT different from that of the first cell, and is used in addition and subordinate to the first cell. The predetermined condition relates to at least one of: (a) a content or type of the CP message; (b) a type of a signalling radio bearer used to transmit the CP message; (c) a transmission cause of the CP message; and (d) a type of a core network associated with the NAS message. It is thus, for example, possible to contributing to efficient transmission of control plane (CP) messages in a radio architecture that provides interworking of two different Radio Access Technologies (RATs).
