A seat belt restraint sensing circuit senses whether a seat belt is in an unlatched condition. An occupant sensing system includes at least one sensor assembly in spaced relation to a vehicle seat for sensing a presence of the occupant in the vehicle seat. The occupant sensing system includes a comparator circuit coupled to the at least one sensor assembly and the seat belt restraint sensing circuit for producing an output signal indicative of the presence of the occupant. A logic circuit is disposed within the vehicle seat coupled to an output of the comparator circuit and the seat belt restraint sensing circuit for providing an alert output signal when the seat belt is in the unlatched condition and the output signal indicates that the occupant is present.

The intermediate guide member, the outer step, and the receptacle each allow the respective upper slide member to move further toward the base. Thus, when the low profile sensor assembly is incorporated into a vehicle seat assembly, the low profile sensor assembly is less likely to detrimentally affect the comfort level of the vehicle seat assembly.

A latch rotatably mounted to the body has a first end for securing the engagement of the receptacle to the charge port, and has a second end. An actuator lever is rotatably mounted to the body. The actuator lever has a first end connected to the second end of the latch, and has a second end. A trigger mechanism includes a trigger located on the opposite side of the body from the latch. The trigger mechanism is arranged such that depressing the trigger pushes the second end of the actuator lever to rotate the actuator lever to cause the latch to rotate and disengage the receptacle from the charge port.

The controller is operable to move the member by the adjustment mechanism from an initial position to a subsequent position dependent on a subsequent detection of a location of a second applied force and an applied pressure distribution of the force detected by the sensor.
