    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to communicating positioning reference signals (PRSs) for narrowband communication are provided. A first wireless communication device determines a time-frequency PRS pattern based at least in part on a narrowband communication frequency band configuration and a PRS subframe configuration mode associated with a set of subframes. The first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, a plurality of PRSs using the determined PRS time-frequency pattern in the set of subframes. The PRS subframe configuration mode can indicate a first configuration including a bitmap indicating a set of PRS subframes positioned within a group of contiguous subframes, a second configuration indicating a subset of the group of contiguous subframes that may carry the PRSs, or a combination thereof. The first configuration and/or the second configuration can be used to indicate the set of subframes.

    Abstract: Enhancements to downlink feedback information (DFI) signaling is disclosed. According to the disclosed aspects, indications of DFI presence in downlink control information (DCI) messaging are provided that limit any increase to DCI overhead for uplink grants. In a first aspect, DFI presence may be signaled using unused or disallowed DCI variable states for indication of DFI presence. In another aspect, a separate bit may be added to a DCI message for indicating DFI presence. Additional aspects include repurposing DCI fields which are specific to cell radio network temporary identifier (C-RNTI)-based uplink grants, or may defining a new RNTI (e.g., DFI-RNTI) for indicating DFI presence. Further aspects may provide for radio resource control (RRC) signaling that configures which DCI variable state can be used to indicate DFI presence.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to communicating a structure of a channel occupancy time (COT) are provided. A first wireless communication device communicates with a second wireless communication device, a first indicator indicating at least one of a subband configuration for a COT or a duration of the COT. The first wireless communication device communicates with the second wireless communication device during the COT, a first communication signal based on at least one of the subband configuration for the COT or the duration of the COT. The first wireless communication device communicates with the second wireless communication device during the COT, a second indicator indicating an update for at least one of the subband configuration for the COT or the duration of the COT. Additionally, the first wireless communication device communicates with the second wireless communication device during the COT, a second communication signal based on the update.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for a user equipment (UE), operating in a shared spectrum in a connected state or an idle state, to receive a channel occupancy time structure information (COT-SI) which includes one or more of a COT duration, a COT end symbol, and a COT pause indication, in addition to slot format indication for one or more slots. Some aspects described herein define a hierarchical approach to COT structure information (COT-SI) signaling. For example, a UE may be configured with a set of short COT tables using remaining minimum system information (RMSI) signaling and may receive concatenation of COT-SI signaling identifying index values in a control channel corresponding to one or more of the set of COT tables. Based on receiving COT-SI signaling, the UE may communicate in accordance with an occurrence of a COT.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may indicate support of an extended cyclic prefix (ECP), where a duration of the ECP or transmitting the ECP is based on the indication. In some cases, the UE may receive an uplink grant to transmit an uplink message with an indication of the ECP, and the UE may transmit the ECP and uplink message according to a timeline based in part on the ECP. Additionally or alternatively, an uplink channel allocation indicated in the uplink grant may include a starting point for the ECP, where the UE transmits the ECP at the starting point. In some cases, the UE may multiplex uplink control information (UCI) in the uplink channel based on a timeline that is based in part on the ECP.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide improved techniques for monitoring a downlink control channel. For example, a method includes switching, at a first time period, to monitoring a downlink control channel according to a second group of search space sets in an unlicensed spectrum. In one embodiment, a wireless communication device receives one or more known bits. The wireless communication device receives a first encoded information block. The wireless communication device decodes the first encoded information block to generate a first information block based on the one or more known bits. In one embodiment, a wireless communication device receives a first encoded information block including a first bit pattern. The wireless communication device receives a second encoded information block including a second bit pattern. The wireless communication device jointly decodes the first encoded information block and the second encoded information block based on an assumption that a difference between the first bit pattern and the second bit pattern is within a subset of a plurality of bit-change patterns.
