摘要： An apparatus for punching knock-outs out of light gauge steel framing studs used in building construction to form holes of sufficient size to allow building wiring and piping to extend therethrough includes a compact hand held frame (12) having a generally C-shaped frame portion (14). The C-shaped frame portion has spaced apart ends (16, 18) located along a working axis (20) for receiving a stud (30) therebetween. A punch and die assembly (24) includes a punch (26) and a die (28) mounted opposite each other at the ends of the C-shaped frame portion. An actuatable driving mechanism (36) mounted to the frame is operable to drive the punch and dic assembly over a working stroke range between a deactuated position (52) and an actuated position (54). In the actuated position, the punch extends into the die by punching through the stud to produce a knock-out (342).

摘要： The method is implemented using a mail program running on a host computer which receives incoming electronic messages. An authorized user queries a user data profile and generates a series of e-mail messages and pager messages which are formatted and distributed based upon the user profile and data filtered from the incoming message. The method allows an e-mail recipient to be promptly notified via pager of the receipt of any mail message and, depending upon the message typed, receives a complete copy of the message, a simple message notice or can have the message delayed until expiration of a message hold period. An embodiment of the invention is particularly adapted for use with two-way pagers enabling the message to be copied and sent to recipient's e-mail box while containing the full two-way pager functionality with enhanced resend and no response replay capability.

摘要： An orbital sander includes a motor, a housing, and a drive shaft rotatably driven by the motor about a drive axis. A bearing freely rotatable about a bearing axis is disposed eccentrically with respect to the drive axis to define an eccentric offset. A sanding platen is supported by the bearing. An input sleeve is interposed between the bearing and the drive shaft, and has an input axis spaced from the drive axis. An output sleeve, positioned within and engaging the bearing, encircles the input sleeve and is rotatable about the input axis. The sleeves are circumferentially aligned, thereby minimizing the height of the sander. A stop member cooperates with the sleeves to allow for rotation of the sanding platen while preventing axial movement of the sleeves. The sleeves have cooperating surfaces which limit their relative movement, defining maximum and minimum eccentric offsets based on the direction of motor rotation. An alternative embodiment provides cooperating surfaces which are capable of being separated, thus providing more than two possible eccentric offsets without requiring reversal of the direction of motor rotation.

Each of the steerable wheels are retained by a wheel support which is rotatable relative to the trailer frame about a steering axis. A tongue is pivotably attached to the frame for connecting the trailer to the towing vehicle. A flexible tensile member is attached to the tongue and extends about an engagement surface affixed to the wheel supports. The first and second wheel supports rotate in opposite directions in response to the pivoting of the tongue relative to the frame to steer the trailer.

摘要： A mold block includes a tool body with a contoured finished surface adapted to receive a tool insert having a forming surface for forming a bottle neck in a molding operation. The tool body defines an internal channel for heat transfer with the forming surface. At least a portion of the channel is offset generally equidistant from the finished surface to provide a path contoured for conformal cooling of the insert. The tool body has a pair of ports intersecting the channel. Several methods for forming a mold block are disclosed and include machining a contoured finished surface adapted to receive a tool insert on a tool body, forming a heat transfer channel within the tool body, and forming a pair of ports into the tool body. At least a portion of the channel is offset generally equidistant from the finished surface for conformal cooling of the insert.

The receiver is configured for extracting energy from the reflected sunlight. The solar collector may also include a four-bar linkage assembly for supporting the panel assembly and the collector assembly during movement from a collapsed position and a partially extended position.
