    摘要: A bottom vented circuit breaker capable of top-down assembly onto equipment (10) includes a plurality of breaker cassettes (12) disposed in a base (14) with a cover (16) mounted upon the base (14). Breaker cassettes (12) include breaker connection lugs (18) extending therefrom for electrically connecting to equipment connection lugs (20) extending from a protected circuit. Base (14) includes a plurality of discrete arc gas vent structures (56) extending from a bottom wall (52). Each arc gas vent structure (56) comprises a manifold portion (58) in fluid communication with duct portions (60, 62). Ducts (60, 62) extend substantially parallel to each other and outward from manifold (58) along spacers (54) or side walls (44, 46), culminating at exit ports (64, 66). The external surface (74) of ducts (60, 62) are separated by a minimum distance “A” forming access opening (21) in conjunction with side walls (44, 46) and spacers (54). Breaker assembly (10) is installed downward onto equipment connection lugs (20) and insulating pad (19), with equipment connection lugs (20) passing through access openings (21) formed in base (14).

    摘要: A system for remote control of a mobile computer system from a base computer system, where the base system generates control command tokens which are broadcast over a pager system. A communicator including a pager receiver, which is normally in a standby state, is connected to the mobile computer, which is normally in an off state, and receives the command tokens. Stored in both the base computer and the mobile computer is a table of commands, cross-referenced with the command tokens. The command tokens are used to instruct the mobile computer to take a variety of actions, including telephoning the base computer, informing the base computer of the mobile computer's location, exchanging file update information and application version information, and other actions requiring communication between the base station and the remote station. The communicator includes a local CPU and SRAM, and powers up the mobile computer as necessary. Certain commands and information exchange may be carried out by the local CPU without powering up the mobile computer.

    摘要: A combination panelboard-switchboard housing accepts plug-on connection with a plurality of modular electric switch-circuit breaker enclosures. The modular enclosure accepts circuit breakers or electric switches which can be field-installed with minor alteration to the enclosure. The modular switch enclosure further accepts a wide range of ampere ratings within a standard enclosure size. A mechanical latch arrangement on the bottom of the modular enclosure prevents the modular enclosure from being removed from the panelboard-switchboard housing. Controlled temperatures are achieved within the housing by optimized circulating air flow.

    摘要: Magnetically anisotropic powder having high coercivity and containing the magnetic phase Nd.sub.2 Fe.sub.14 B is produced by melt spinning a composition of these elements to form amorphous or extremely finely crystalline particles which are hot worked to produce grains containing the above phase and having dimensions in the range of about 20 to 500 nanometers. When the hot worked body is comminuted to powder, the resultant particles are magnetically anisotropic and have appreciable coercivity at room temperature.

    摘要: A molded case industrial circuit breaker is provided with a shortened contact separation distance upon manual operation to reduce the stresses imposed upon the breaker operating mechanism when the breaker is manually operated to open or close the contacts. A camming surface is provided on the cradle operator to provide a stop for the toggle pin both upon opening as well as upon closing the contacts. The decreased separation which occurs between the contacts upon manual operation allows a savings in the amount of contact braid material as well as reducing the size of both the fixed and movable contacts. The decreased stresses on the mechanism correspondingly allows for a reduction in the material strength and mass of the breaker flexible connectors, operating springs, and contacts.

    摘要: A regulatory compliance testing system permits a gaming machine (30-44) at a first location (14-20) to be tested for regulatory compliance with casino system software (44a,46) located at a second location (12) in a different jurisdiction. A plurality of different casino systems (46) can be kept at the second location (12) and each is associated with one specific port (54b-54e) at the first location so that each different type or model of gaming machine (14-20) has its own home port (54a-54e). A secured VPN Layer 2 network (24a-24e) including multisystem isolation made possible by VLAN (26a-26e) tunnels connects both locations and permits seamless and secure connectivity as if the gaming machine (30-44) and its associated accounting software (46) were located at the same location. The system (10) permits three (3) basic modes of testing. First, the gaming machine (30-44) may be tested at the first location (14-20) by an engineer at the first location (14-20). Second, the gaming machine (30-44) may be tested by a person at the second location (12). Third, a plurality of gaming machines (30-44) of the same type my be plugged into the same numbered port (54a-54e) at more than one locations and simultaneously tested from one or more different locations (12-20).
