摘要: A circuit for a circuit interrupter is provided. The circuit may in include a first SCR configured to receive a first trigger signal at a gate of the first SCR, a second SCR configured to receive a second trigger signal at a gate of the second SCR, and a third SCR configured to receive a third trigger signal at a gate of the third SCR. A cathode of the first SCR may be connected to an anode of the third SCR. A cathode of the second SCR and a cathode of the third SCR may be connected to a ground. Methods of operating a circuit interrupter and a circuit are also provided.

The current transformer has an open channel. The circuit interrupter devices also include at least one power conductor having a rigid or semi-rigid body with opposing first and second end portions extending between the first and second housings. The second end portion of the at least one power conductor extends through the open channel in the current transformer and terminates in a breaker load collar(s).

摘要: A circuit breaker comprises a solid-state bidirectional switch, a switch control circuit, current and voltage sensors, and a processor. The solid-state bidirectional switch is connected between a line input terminal and a load output terminal of the circuit breaker, and configured to be placed in a switched-on state and a switched-off state. The switch control circuit control operation of the bidirectional switch. The current sensor is configured to sense a magnitude of current flowing in an electrical path between the line input and load output terminals and generate a current sense signal. The voltage sensor is configured to sense a magnitude of voltage on the electrical path and generate a voltage sense signal. The processor is configured to process the current and voltage sense signals to determine operational status information of the circuit breaker, a fault event, and power usage information of a load connected to the load output terminal.

摘要: A crossbar assembly and a trip assembly comprising same are disclosed. The crossbar assembly according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises a crossbar and an instant bar. The crossbar and the instant bar can be rotatably coupled so as to be rotatable around the same rotary shaft. Therefore, the space required for rotation can be reduced to be less than when the crossbar and the instant bar are individually rotated. In addition, the crossbar can move in a longitudinal direction when coupled to the instant bar. Therefore, a metallic bar for movement of the crossbar is unnecessary. Therefore, interference between different-phase currents flowing through the trip assembly can be minimized.

摘要: A fast-operating AC fault current limiter, to limit the fault current let through to downstream equipment during short circuit or low-impedance faults, comprises a series inductor to limit current rise time, a current sensor to sense the instantaneous current, a series AC semiconductor switch to interrupt current flow when it exceeds the maximum desired fault current, and a shunt AC semiconductor switch to catch inductor flyback voltage when the series semiconductor switch is opened. Each of the series and the shunt AC switches comprises two back-to-back MOSFETs. Inventive control of timing of the individual MOSFETs obviates the need for exact simultaneous timing of opening the series switch and closing the shunt switch, which is otherwise required to avoid short circuits.

摘要: An actuator for a high-speed switch is proposed. The actuator can include a frame having multiple mounting plates and columns. The mounting plates have parts installed thereon or movably supported thereby. The columns maintain the space between the mounting plates. A permanent magnet is installed on one of the mounting plates so as to face the second driving plate, and an elastic member is installed on the mounting plate that faces the mounting plate having the permanent magnet installed thereon, so as to provide force for the movement of the second driving plate.

The contactor includes an opening lever to push the second crossbar in a direction away from the first crossbar in conjunction with the operation of the plunger.

摘要: A magnetic module in a circuit interrupting system is configured to generate a blow-on force that pushes a moving contact toward a stationary contact. The magnetic module includes: a coil conductor having an opening through which a moving stem of the moving contact may move, wherein the coil conductor is electrically connected to the moving stem and a first auxiliary conductor, wherein the coil conductor is configured to allow current to flow from the moving stem to the first auxiliary conductor; a plunger attached to an end of the moving stem; and a first magnetic core shaped to fit around a first section of the coil conductor, wherein the first magnetic core is configured, when current flows through the coil conductor to the first auxiliary conductor, to become magnetized, attract the plunger toward the magnetic core, and cause the moving stem of the moving contact to move toward the stationary contact.
