    Abstract: A display device including a touch sensor and a driving method thereof, and more particularly, a curved display device including a touch sensor and a driving method thereof, are presented. The display device includes: a touch sensor unit including a plurality of touch sensors; and at least one touch surface curved to along a first direction, wherein the touch surface includes a center region and edge regions positioned at both sides of the center region along the first direction, and wherein a sensitivity of the touch sensor in the center region is higher than a sensitivity of the touch sensors in the edge regions.

    Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of the present inventive concept provides a display device including: a display unit including a plurality of pixels disposed on a display area; a display controller configured to control the display unit; a sensor including a plurality of first sensing electrodes and a plurality of second sensing electrodes disposed in the display area; and a sensor controller configured to recognize a touch of a user inputted into the sensor in a touch sensing mode and to recognize a fingerprint of the user inputted into the sensor in a fingerprint sensing mode, wherein the sensor controller changes a mode to the fingerprint sensing mode when no touch is inputted for a predetermined time period in the touch sensing mode and changes the mode to the touch sensing mode when authorization on a fingerprint inputted into the sensor is succeeded in the fingerprint sensing mode.

    Abstract: A touch sensor includes a pressure sensor configured to become compressed along a first axis in response to a touch input into a touch area and a controller. The controller is configured to calculate a position of the touch and an intensity of the touch by using a detection signal obtained from the pressure sensor. The controller is further configured to calculate a first position, which has a greatest value of compression of the pressure sensor along the first axis, and calculate a position of the touch by correcting the first position by a first correction value corresponding to the greatest value of compression.

    Abstract: Provided is a display device comprising a display panel, a metal plate on a bottom surface of the display panel, the metal plate including a first surface facing the bottom surface of the display panel and a second surface opposite to the one surface, and a fingerprint sensor overlappingly disposed on the second surface of the metal plate, wherein the metal plate includes an indentation groove recessed in a direction toward the first surface from the second surface of the metal plate, and the fingerprint sensor is disposed on the second surface of the metal plate on which the indentation groove is formed.
