    摘要: A method and wireless communication system may be used for transferring management information. An access point (AP) may transmit a management information base (MIB) information request including a category field and an action details field to a wireless transmit/receive (WTRU). In response to receiving the information request, the WTRU may determine whether or not to provide management information to the AP. When the WTRU provides management information to the AP, the WTRU may compile management information stored in a MIB located in the WTRU and transmit a MIB information report to the AP. The MIB may list a plurality of tables containing information associated with radio resource management (RRM) and at least one table containing physical layer measurements. The AP may include a MIB for storing MIB information of the WTRU. The AP may transmit the stored MIB information of the WTRU in response to a request.

    摘要: A method and wireless communication system for transferring management information. The system includes at least one access point (AP) including a first management entity and a second management entity, and at least one wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) including a third management entity and a fourth management entity. The AP transmits a management information base (MIB) information request action frame including a category field and an action details field to the WTRU. In response to receiving the information request action frame, the WTRU determines whether or not to provide management information to the AP. When the WTRU provides management information to the AP, the WTRU compiles management information stored in a MIB located in the WTRU and transmits a MIB information report action frame to the AP. The MIB lists a plurality of tables containing information associated with radio resource management (RRM) and at least one table containing physical layer measurements.

    摘要: Disclosed are multiple embodiments of method and apparatus to facilitate Multiple Users Reusing One Timeslot (MUROS) operation in wireless communications. A pair of wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) may be multiplexed onto a timeslot using a same pulse format. A WTRU may communicate on a network using MUROS technology both on the downlink (DL) and the uplink (UL), and may use a first pulse format on the DL and a second different pulse format on the UL. Pulse format support information to facilitate MUROS operation may be communicated between a network and a WTRU. The support information may be communicated in Radio Resource Control (RRC) messages. A network may allow for concurrent operation of WTRUs using different types of MUROS technology. For example, a network may include WTRUs using MUROS based on orthogonal sub-channels (OSC) while other WTRUs use MUROS based on an interference-canceling technology such as Downlink Advanced Receiver Performance (DARP) Phase I or Phase II.

    摘要: A burst may include a three-bit tail sequence derived from a four-bit Enhanced General Packet Radio Service (EGPRS)-2 tail sequence. A legacy wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may be multiplexed onto an Orthogonal Sub-channel (OSC) resource, and may receive a burst including four-bit Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK)-type tail sequences that decode to legacy three-bit Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying (GMSK)-type or 8PSK-type tail sequences. The legacy WTRU processes the tail sequences, unaware that the burst was received on an OSC sub-channel or that the tail sequences were encoded as QPSK-type tail sequences. An OSC QPSK tail sequence may be chosen such that it corresponds to the legacy GMSK tail sequence format when decoded on an OSC sub-channel, but also so that a power-versus-time mask, power constraint, or other criteria on the other MUROS sub-channel may be optimized. Different tail sequences may be used in OSC bursts, depending upon whether the WTRUs multiplexed onto a timeslot are legacy WTRUs or include OSC-specific features.
