Abstract:
In a truss type actuator having two piezoelectric devices provided for crossing at right angle and driven by two alternating driving signals having a predetermined phase difference between them for driving a chip member along a predetermined elliptic trail (including a circular trail). The piezoelectric devices are contacted by protrusions having a high rigidity and formed on contacting faces of the chip member and a base member for holding the piezoelectric devices, and fixed by adhesive having a low rigidity and filled around the protrusions. Thereby, one of the piezoelectric device hardly receives a reaction force from another piezoelectric device due to the displacement thereof.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus for reading open-faced documents comprises a document table for placing documents, an image sensing device for reading a document placed on said document table, a height detector for detecting height of said document at different positions in the main scan direction, and a displacement mechanism for displacing said image sensing device to accomplish focusing within a plane perpendicular to the subscan direction.
Abstract:
In reading out an original of a state where a plurality of sheet faces are superimposed, image data is obtained by respectively scanning a first sheet face, a second sheet face which is the back side of the first sheet face, and a third sheet face which is a third face when the first sheet face is the first face. According to the read out image data, an opposite side transmittance rate representing degree of image transmittance on a first face which is the face of interest to be read out by an image of a second face which is the back side of the first face, and a trace transmittance rate representing degree of image transmittance on the first face by an image of a third face located facing the second face are obtained. Using respective calculated values of the opposite side transmittance rate and the trace transmittance rate, an unrequired image component in read out image data with an arbitrary sheet face as the first face is quantitated and subtracted from the read out image data. As a result, a read out image is obtained that is in fidelity to the image of the face of interest for read out even at the occurrence of not only opposite side transmittance, but also trace transmittance.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus for reading documents disposed face upward on a document platen by optical scanning. The image reading apparatus comprises a color correction filter which has characteristics for shielding light of visible light range and is inserted into said imaging system on prescanning to detect the height of the document.
Abstract:
An image pickup apparatus for reading an object having a curved document surface such as an opened book, constructed to focus an optical system all the object. A line sensor is moved for scanning the object, thereby a distance between the line sensor and the object is measured, and the object is imaged while controlling an optical system based on data of measured distance so that an object image is in focus on the line sensor. This allows all over the object surface to be in focus, whereby the clear image without blur is obtainable.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a copying machine employing a uni-focus projection lens in which the lens and a mirror for changing the conjugates length are driven to move independently according to a set magnification ratio and the focal length of the lens. Either the lens or the mirror is moved by a stepping motor according to a set first magnification ratio and the focal length of the lens. Calculated from the travel of either the lens of the mirror is a second magnification ratio, and the other one of the mirror and the lens is moved according to the second magnification ratio. In another way, first the lens is moved according to the set magnification ratio and the focal length of the lens. Calculated from the travel of the lens is the theoretical conjugate length at the set magnification ratio, and the mirror is moved according to the theoretical conjugate length. In another way, first the mirror is moved according to the set magnification ratio and the focal length of the lens. Calculated from the travel of the mirror is the theoretical lens forward length at the set magnification ratio, and the lens is moved according to the theoretical lens forward length.
Abstract:
An electrostatic latent image developing apparatus has a developing sleeve, an agitating roller rotatable in the same direction as the developing sleeve and a magnetic device fixedly provided within the developing sleeve and having a plurality of N and S poles which include auxiliary poles of the same polarity adjacent to each other circumferentially of the sleeve and opposed to the agitating roller. A developer restraining plate between the developing sleeve and the agitating roller has a first guide surface for guiding the developer supplied by the agitating roller and a second guide surface for limiting the developer used from moving toward the sleeve portion to which the developer is supplied by the agitating roller.
