    摘要: A method and system for limiting redirections of a mobile station (MS) in an unlicensed radio access network having a plurality of unlicensed network controllers (UNCs). The MS includes a redirection counter set to zero within a registration request sent to one of the UNCs. Each time the MS receives a redirection response from a UNC, the MS increments the redirection counter and sends it in another registration request. Once the redirection counter has exceeded a defined value for the MS, the UNC rejects any registration request from that MS.

    摘要: Cellular mobile networks can include unlicensed-radio access networks, which comprise access point controllers connected via a fixed broadband network to access points that communicate with mobile stations via unlicensed radio. The access points are connected to the broadband network from any location by the subscriber. In order to alleviate the configuration required to enable handover each access point controller is assigned to a location area defined in the conventional cellular network. A mobile station entering the mini-cell of an access point sends the access point information concerning the location area for the last cell of conventional network it communicated with. With this information, the access point obtains from a memory the fixed broadband address of the access point controller assigned to this location area. The access point uses this address to establish a connection with the access point controller assigned to handle its current location.

Traffic arriving in the home base station from a mobile terminal (2) connected to the home base station can be transported by means of local breakout transportation, which implies that the traffic is forwarded to a local node (4) over a local network (20) or to the Internet (21) without passing a core network (15) of a mobile telecommunications system. A local breakout bearer (22) is established, which is a radio bearer that extends between the mobile terminal and the home base station. The mobile terminal forwards uplink traffic that is to be subject to local breakout transportation to the home base station on the local breakout bearer. Thus it is not required for traffic that is destined for local nodes or the Internet to pass the core network, which allows for efficient traffic forwarding.

    摘要: A system, method, and arrangement for controlling access to a wireless communication network. When a User Equipment (UE) is denied access to the network through a first access point, the UE stores the Location Area Identity (LAI) utilized at the first access point on a list of forbidden LAIs in the UE. If the LAI stored by the UE is utilized at another access point where the UE is allowed access, the LAI at the other access point is dynamically changed to a second LAI that is not on the UE's list of forbidden LAIs. An access point database stores a table defining which UEs are allowed to utilize each access point. The database also stores a list of rejected LAIs for each UE. A radio network controller accesses the database to determine an allowed LAI, and changes the LAI at the other access points where the UE is allowed access.
