    摘要: An antistatic plastic film is described. This comprised of a plastic film and at least one coating layer provided on the surface of the plastic film. The coating layer is prepared by dispersing electrically conductive fine particles in a compound containing an unsaturated bond capable of undergoing polymerization on irradiation with radiation or a binder containing the polymerizable compound. The electrically conductive fine particle comprising crystalline metal oxide of Zn, Ti, Sn, In, Si, Mo or W and/or composite oxide thereof. The resulting dispersion is coated on the plastic film, polymerized and cured by irradiation of the layer with radiation. The film can be easily, quickly and economically produced and is substantially transparent while providing improved antistatic properties good mechanical strength.

    摘要: A magnetic recording medium having a thin magnetic film on a non-magnetic support base is disclosed. A layer of a compound which contains at least two isocyanate groups is formed in connection with the medium, and may be formed on either the surface of the metal film or the surface of the base opposite the metal film, or both. The resulting medium has excellent running properties, wear resistance and electro-to-magnetic conversion characteristics which are maintained after repeated use. The medium is formed by providing a non-magnetic support base surface and coating that surface with a thin magnetic metal film by use of a process such as vapor deposition. A solution of a compound containing at least two isocyanate groups is then applied to the medium within a solvent after which a heat treatment is carried out, thus forming the layer of compound containing the isocyanate groups.

    摘要: A magnetic recording medium and a process for producing a magnetic recording medium are disclosed, the process comprising the steps of applying to a non-magnetic base a composition comprising (1) a compound having an unsaturated bond polymerizable by electron beams, (2) a compound having one or more carbon-carbon unsaturated bonds, (3) ferromagnetic particles and (4) an organic solvent, and polymerizing and curing the applied coating by irradiation with electron beams, said compound having one or more unsaturated bonds is such that at least 10 wt % thereof is adsorbed onto the ferromagnetic particles in a mixture of 10 parts by weight of a 1 wt % solution of the compound and 1 part by weight of the ferromagnetic particles.

    摘要: A magnetic recording medium is described, which comprises a nonmagnetic support having on at least one side thereof a lower layer and an upper layer, in which the upper layer is a magnetic layer mainly comprising ferromagnetic particles and a binder resin, and the lower layer is adjacent to the magnetic layer and is either a magnetic layer mainly comprising ferromagnetic particles and a binder resin or a nonmagnetic layer mainly comprising nonmagnetic particles and a binder resin, wherein the upper layer has a thickness of from 0.05 to less than 1.0 .mu.m the lower layer has a thickness of from 1 to 5 .mu.m and contains unsaturated alkyl carbonate having from 17 to 45 total carbon atoms represented by the following formula in an amount of from 1.8 to 100% by weight based on the amount of the binder resin: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are the same or different and each represents a chain hydrocarbon group having from 8 to 22 carbon atoms, provided that at least one of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 contains one or more unsaturated bonds; and 60 to 100% by weight of the ferromagnetic particles and nonmagnetic particles contained in the lower layer, in the case where the lower layer is a magnetic layer, has a specific surface area of from 1 to 150 m.sup.2 /g; or 60 to 100% by weight of the nonmagnetic particles contained in the lower layer, in the case where the lower layer is a nonmagnetic layer, has a specific surface area of from 1 to 150 m.sup.2 /g.

    摘要: A method for the surface treatment of a ferromagnetic fine powder is disclosed. The method increases the dispersibility of the powder in a magnetic coating composition. The method comprises subjecting a magnetic composition to a dispersing processing, with the magnetic composition containing (1) a ferromagnetic fine powder, (2) at least one polar compound selected from a group consisting of such compounds as to have one or more of --COOH, --CONH.sub.2, --CONH.sub.2, --PO.sub.3 H, --SO.sub.3 H, --OH or --NH.sub.2 in a molecule and quaternary ammonium salts, and (3) an organic solvent capable of dissolving the polar compound, and evaporating the organic solvent from the magnetic composition.
