    Abstract: A vehicle head-up display device includes a display control module that receives signals from a plurality of sources and determines one or more warnings based on the signals. The warnings may include at least one of a lane departure warning, a blind spot warning, a front/following/backup distance indicator, a head-on threat warning, and a lateral threat warning. A display module has a plurality of light sources that selectively project a plurality of light patterns onto a plurality of locations on a windshield of a vehicle such that the plurality of light patterns are superimposed on objects outside of the vehicle.

    Abstract: An electrical connector can include a male blade terminal protector that protects one or more male blade terminals from external objects before, during, and after coupling of the male connector to a female connector. The male blade terminal protector can be slidably disposed within a housing of the male connector and configured to retract when the female connector is coupled to the male connector and extend when the female connector is decoupled from the male connector. The male blade terminal protector is moveable from an extended position to a retracted position when a ledge is disengage from a catch by a ramped surface of a female housing and a retraction tab of the female housing is configured to move the male blade terminal protector from the retracted position to the extended position as the female connector is disengaged from the male connector.

    Abstract: An electrical device having an electrical component, which has an electric terminal, and a busbar assembly having a busbar and a frame. The busbar is formed of a strip of conductive material and has first and second busbar sides that are opposite from one another. The frame has a busbar seat and a cover member. The busbar seat extends through a first frame side of the frame. The busbar is received into the busbar seat and seated to the frame such that the first busbar side is spaced apart from the first frame side so that the busbar is contained wholly within the frame. The cover member abuts the second busbar side and defines an irradiation aperture that is configured to receive a laser beam from a laser welder therethrough. A laser weld fuses the busbar to the electric terminal.

    Abstract: The present teachings provide for a connector including a first body and an assurance body. The first body defines a first locking member, a cavity and a slot. The cavity accepts a terminal inserted therein to a first distance. The slot extends into the first body and intersects the cavity. The first locking member is configured to prevent withdrawal of the terminal when the terminal is inserted to the first distance. The assurance body is movable between a preset and a full set position within the slot, and includes a reinforcing member and a second locking member. The full set position, the reinforcing member limits movement of the first locking member to prevent the withdrawal of the terminal, and the second locking member extends into the cavity to prevent withdrawal of the terminal independent of the first locking member.

    Abstract: A system and method for detecting the presence of a voltage on a ground conductor which is coupled to a protective Earth (PE) terminal associated with a power source. The power source is used to apply a voltage to a device. The system may use a high impedance device coupled across a switch, with the switch being in communication with a portion of the device. A control system may monitor a voltage across the high impedance device and determine if the voltage across the high impedance device exceeds a predetermined threshold. Exceeding the predetermined threshold indicates that an unsafe voltage from the power source is present on the ground conductor. A natural high impedance path between the device and the Earth is used to provide an Earth connection through the device to the Earth during operation of the system.
