    摘要: A tubular net arrangement is made by placing a tubular net on a transfer tube and inserting a support tube coaxially inside the transfer tube. The support tube has a support tube diameter that is smaller than the transfer tube diameter. The tubular net is then moved off the transfer tube and past the end of the transfer tube to fold the tubular net onto the support tube in the form of multiple successive concentric layers. The transfer tube then moves relative to the support tube to expose the support tube as the layers are formed on the support tube. The inner diameter of each layer is adjacent the support tube and is equal to the support tube diameter and the outer diameter of each layer is spaced away from the support tube and is greater than the support tube diameter and at most equal to the transfer tube diameter.

    摘要: A multi-layer arrangement of a tubular net is first positioned on a transfer tube. A toothed loader is used to slide the net along the outside of the transfer tube, to an end zone thereof which is slightly conical. When the net reaches the end zone, it falls onto a support tube in an arrangement of concentric layers. In this way, the outer layers of the loaded net have a maximum diameter equal to that of the transfer tube while the inner diameter of the loaded net, which corresponds to the outer diameter of the support tube, is less than the maximum diameter of the stretched net.

    摘要: A tubular net arrangement is made by placing a tubular net on a transfer tube and inserting a support tube coaxially inside the transfer tube. A preferred embodiment of the present invention includes a caddy for packaging and transporting fifty sticks arranged in a semi-rectangular stick configuration having eight (8) generally adjacent and densely packed rows and a stacking of 6-7-6-7-6-7-6-5. The caddy mechanically interlocks with a second caddy via a series of recessed notches and protruding members. The snugness of the fit between the caddy and the second caddy is improved therefore enhancing stability and decreasing the amount of wasted space between adjacent caddies that are nested together.

    摘要: An article is disclosed comprising a cylindrical hollow rod, composed of a shirred packaging tube, with an internal bore having a circular cross-section and ending in cavity openings at the two end faces of the hollow rod, in combination with a sheathing which surrounds the hollow rod, leaving the cavity openings free, and an annular body at one of the two cavity openings. The annular body comprises an annular disk, whose inner side face bears directly against the adjoining end face of the hollow rod. The outer side face of the disk is at least partially surrounded by the sheathing. The internal bore of the disk remains free of the sheathing and contains elements for fixing the disk to a cylindrical filler horn.

    摘要: A sausage-casing/sleeve combination has a flexible synthetic-resin sleeve having a laterally open aperture, a pair of longitudinal ends, and a tear line extending longitudinally from this aperture to one of the ends. A plurality of sausage-casing sections having overlapping ends and longitudinally compressed accordion-fashion are carried on the sleeve between the aperture and the one end. This combination is made by fitting the sleeve over a mandrel tube, clamping the end of the sleeve at the tip of the mandrel tube, and then pulling the sections over the thus rigidified sleeve while ejecting water from the end of the sleeve to soften the sausage-casing sections. The overlapping ends may be stapled, glued, or sewn together.

    摘要: This relates to the encasing of shirred casing strands for the purpose of maintaining the shape thereof during soaking and subsequent to the soaking until such casing strands are applied to a stuffing horn. Each casing strand is encased in an overwrap casing which is applied in tubular form and preferably is in the form of netting. The overwrap casing is shaped at least at one end of the casing strand to define closure panels by twisting the overwrap casing at that end of the associated casing strand so as to reduce the diameter of the overwrap casing and to facilitate the reverse folding of the overwrap casing. The opposite end of the overwrap casing may be closed in a similar manner or by a simple gathering of the material of the overwrap casing and the application of a conventional clip.
