The chair includes a back support that is flexible such that when a force is applied to it by the user's body, the back support bends. The back support may be configured to adapt to the curvature of the user's spine when the user is seated in the chair. The back support may further be configured such that the user can rotate the back support by rotating the user's upper body.

摘要： A lift chair includes a frame assembly including a chair portion rotatable with respect to a base portion. A lift mechanism portion is positioned in a base portion cavity. The lift mechanism portion includes a lift motor and a drive assembly connected to the lift motor having a slide. A lift tube connects the slide to the chair portion. The lift tube upon actuation of the lift motor displaces the chair portion between a nominal and a full lift position by slide displacement in a slide lifting direction. First and second guide members are positioned on opposite sides of the drive assembly and connected to a base portion base platform. The lift tube is connected to both the first and second guide members to distribute a weight load from the chair portion via the lift tube to the slide, and by the guide members to the base platform.

摘要： A seating assembly with a base, a seat and a back which have interlocking features, and a strap latch removeably securing the back to the base with a portion of the seat sandwiched therebetween. The strap latch comprises a strap affixed to one component, with a latch attached to its free end, and a catch member affixed to another component. The seat may also be configured to appear horizontal but to have a rearward incline when occupied, by affixing the seat webbing to a fixed forward member and a floating rear member, and attaching the floating member to a fixed rear member via straps, wherein the straps and the seat webbing have sufficient elasticity to allow the floating member to be depressed when a downward force is applied to the seat.

摘要： The invention provides an improvement to a chair which has a tiltable seat carrier (1) and a tiltable backrest (2) on the backrest carrier (5) which are forcibly coupled to one another, and to an individual adjustment of the tilt of the seat carrier (1) in relation to the backrest carrier (5).The improvement consists in the fact that there is provided on the underside of the seat carrier (1) a bearing block (10) having a slideway contour (14) and a vertical slot (13) in which the flange (9) of a lifting element (7) is mounted vertically movably, and the lifting element (7) has a substantially triangular collar (12) which slides on the substantially rectangular slideway contour (14) when the flange (9) moves vertically. This means that the tilt of the seat carrier (1) can be adjusted to be steeper or flatter by turning the lifting element (7), and the limit positions are completely stable. The possibility of automatic unlocking is ruled out.
