Abstract:
A portable doorway recreation device for use on a doorway frame comprises an L-shaped frame. A first horizontal elongate bar is attached to a riser of the L-shaped frame and a second horizontal elongate bar is attached to a base of the L-shaped frame. A securing member is operatively associated with the second elongate bar, wherein with the first elongate bar sitting on a top of the doorway frame on a first wall side and the second elongate bar operatively associated with a second wall side, the securing member is configured to engage one of the first and second wall sides to prevent movement of the second elongate bar away from the second wall side.
Abstract:
A martial arts training device has a frame including a vertical post, and an impact absorbent material formed over the vertical post. The impact absorbent material is provided with an exterior striking surface. The vertical post supports the impact absorbent material to form a primary striking target. An upper armature member connects to the vertical post at an upper armature member upper end. The upper armature member extends horizontally from the vertical post and then extends downwardly at a diagonal angle. The upper armature member is connected to the central armature mount. A lower armature member connected to the central armature mount at a lower armature member upper end.
Abstract:
Aspects of the invention include providing a mixed-use training device that solves a number of problems with the prior art by providing for a dynamically adjustable height setting for weight bags and allowing for a greater radius of clearance and movement around the training device which allows the user the ability to perform a more diverse training regimen, without requiring the constant re-configuration of the training device. Weights secured to weight support members increase the stability of embodiments.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses an elasticity adjustment structure of physical training device which comprise one elastomer adjustment set; said elastomer adjustment set further comprises one first elastomer and one second elastomer. Overlapping the said second elastomer and said first elastomer with different rigidities at different depth positions to create a smooth elastic curve of said elastomer adjustment set; as a result the elasticity of said elasticity adjustment structure may be adjusted in accordance with different needs.
Abstract:
A punching bag assembly is provided for facilitating simultaneous practice of body punching and uppercut punching. The assembly includes a first punching bag having an upper end and a lower end. At least one first bag chain is coupled to the first punching bag whereby the first punching bag is configured for being coupled to a support structure positioned above the first punching bag. A second punching bag has a central opening. The upper end of the first punching bag is inserted through the central opening such that the first punching bag extends through the second punching bag and the second punching bag is positioned proximate the upper end of the first punching bag.
Abstract:
A football tackling dummy apparatus includes a tackling dummy, a support structure for suspending the tackling dummy therefrom, and a release mechanism. The release mechanism is mounted on the support structure and situated between the support structure and the tackling dummy. The tackling dummy is releasably attached to the release mechanism and is released thereby when a predetermined force is applied to the tackling dummy.
Abstract:
A boxing or martial arts training and exercise device may include punching pads locationally displaced on a frame. Respective pads may be positioned in support on the frame for punching and kicking Each pad can communicatively connect to one or more impact sensor. Each impact sensor can communicatively connect to a control unit. The control unit may be communicatively connected to a display. The impact sensor detects strikes to the pad. The impact sensor includes an accelerometer and a signal processor. The control unit includes an aggregator for receiving and logging strike metrics. The control unit directs sequences in the display according to a routine, and delivers indicators of strike metrics. The control unit includes a user interface for selection among sequences, as well as for selection of various menu items. A video of a human instructor or an animated avatar is viewable in a display.
Abstract:
A heavy bag for use by martial arts practitioners to practice the martial arts, the heavy bag adapted to receive a sheath about its circumferential periphery, the sheath having a plurality of vertically longitudinal sleeves or pockets for the slidable receipt of semi-rigid tubes, rods, or pellets which would therefore be disposed about the circumference of the heavy bag and when struck by a martial arts practitioner with a select anatomical body part would toughen and desensitize the particular anatomical body part. In the preferred embodiment, the sheathing would be in two parts, a lower sheathing secured about the lower portion of the heavy bag by means of hook and loop fastener means, and an upper sheathing which would depend from the four point linkage used for hanging the heavy bag, the lower portion of the upper sheathing being secured by hook and loop fasteners about the circumference of the heavy bag. Alternatively, the sheath may be permanently attached to the heavy bag and sold and used as only a body conditioner bag.
Abstract:
A training and coordination device including a projectile member such as a ball or sack secured to an elastic string is described. The first end of the elastic string is attached to a location and the second end is connected to the projectile member. At least an end portion of the elastic string secure to the projectile member comprises multiple strands of an odd number. The multiple strands of the elastic string in conjunction with the elasticity of the string generate a random motion of the sack when the sack moves relative to the string.
