摘要： A two-piece beverage carrier is disclosed comprising a one-piece folded longitudinal partition insert which is adhesively secured to the end panels and to the bottom panel of a separate paperboard shell. The shell may be constructed as a wrap-around carrier or it may be constructed in the form of a basket style. The insert for either type of shell has formed thereon a plurality of transverse butterfly partition panels which also have formed thereon glue tabs for adhesively securing the butterfly partitions to the side panels of the paperboard shell. The insert utilizes a low caliber, single thickness of paperboard in formation of the production blank and by the structure and outline of the butterfly partition panels, heavier thickness is obtained between cells of the erected carrier.

摘要： The specification discloses a collapsible article carrier formed from a folded sheet of material that is alternatively foldable into a substantially flat, collapsed position and an open position for receiving articles. The article carrier includes a bottom member having first and second bottom panels. First and second side walls are hingedly joined along bottom edges thereof to edges of the first and second bottom panels. First and second end panels are hingedly joined to edges of the first side wall, and third and fourth end panels are hingedly joined to edges of the second side wall. The first and third end panels are hingedly joined to form a first end wall. The second and fourth end panels are hingedly joined to form a second end wall. The end panels include a fold line having a predetermined angle with respect to the bottom edge of the end panels to permit the first and third end panels to lie coincident with one another and to permit the second and fourth end panels to lie coincident with one another when the collapsible article carrier is in the collapsed position. First and second tab members are formed from first and second cutouts contained within the first bottom panel for hingedly joining the first and second end panels to the first bottom panel. Third and fourth tab members are formed from third and fourth cutouts contained within the second bottom panel for hingedly joining the third and fourth end panels to the second bottom panel. The bottom member is foldable to fold upwardly and inwardly between the side walls to thereby permit either one of the end walls to fold inwardly between the side walls in the collapsible article carrier collapsed position.

The article carrier includes first and second end walls parallel to one another when the carrier is in the open position. The carrier further includes first and second side walls parallel to one another, which are hingedly joined to edges of the first and second end walls to extend perpendicularly to the first and second end walls when the article carrier is in the open position. Portions of the side walls have heights less than the height of the end walls. The first side wall is vertically spaced from the second side wall such that portions of the side walls are vertically offset to enable molding thereof in opposing dies. The article carrier is divided into a plurality of receiving cellular compartments between the first and second side walls by first and second dividing walls disposed parallel to one another and parallel to the end walls. The dividing walls are hingedly joined at spaced locations between the first and second side walls. A bottom member is hingedly joined to edges of at least one of the walls, wherein the article carrier may be folded about the hinged attachments to a flat collapsed position and folded to the open position to form a plurality of open ended cellular compartments for receiving articles such as beverage bottles and the like.

摘要： An improved carton lock includes a common locking aperture located in the carton bottom and tabs with locking ears for insertion into the aperture to secure the carbon in erected condition without the need for glue. The locking aperture is defined by apertures cut in two opposing bottom panels which are overlapped so that the apertures cooperate to form a single common aperture. The locking ears are provided on the ends of two tabs associated with opposing locking panels and are insertable into the common aperture to secure the carton. The carton is assembled from an appropriately cut blank and may be provided with dividers which cooperate with the locking ears to improve the security of the lock.

摘要： The carrier, made of foldable material, such as corrugated cardboard, solid fiberboard, paperboard, molded pulp, or various solid or foamed plastics, or laminates of these or other materials, for example, comprises a bottom wall, first and second end walls extending upwardly from said bottom wall, and a handle extending between said first and second end walls, said handle having a horizontal panel and downwardly folded stiffening flanges thereon. The handle is folded from one end wall and is adapted to extend through an opening in the other end wall. The handle and the opening are preferably triangular in shape. Locking means are preferably provided to retain the handle in the opening. Each of the end walls may be provided with vertical retaining flanges folded toward the opposite end wall. The end walls and the retaining flanges may be formed with a series of slots to hold plates or the like. The carrier comprises a top panel folded from said second end wall and a vertical panel folded downwardly from said top panel. The vertical panel is formed with a second opening for receiving the handle. Locking tabs are preferably provided to hold the various retaining flanges in their folded positions.
