摘要： A can carton of the end loading type includes foldably joined top, bottom and side walls forming a tubular structure, an end flap foldably joined to the end edges of the top, bottom and side walls, collapsible web structure disposed at each corner of the carton and foldably joined to the adjacent end of each of the adjacent end flaps which are foldably joined to the bottom and top walls and to the bevelled end edges of a projecting end portion of each side wall, the web structure being disposed in collapsed condition adjacent the end of the adjacent can, and a fold line interconnecting the projecting end portions of each of the side walls to facilitate manipulating the end closing structure of the carton to closed position after loading is completed, such manipulation comprising folding each projecting end portion of each side wall outwardly to draw the end flaps of the top and bottom walls inwardly and then folding the end flap at each end of each side wall upwardly thereby to collapse the web structure and to position such web structure in overlying relation relative to the adjacent can end.

摘要： For preventing damage to the tops and bottoms of end loading stacked can cartons, a reinforcing panel is affixed to the inside surface of the top or bottom walls of the carton or to both such walls so as to prevent coincidental can chimes on the upper ends of cans in a lower carton from damaging the top wall of its associated carton and the bottom wall of a carton stacked thereabove and without which the lower ends of the cans of the upper carton may cooperate with the chimes of the cans in the lower cartons to effect substantial damage to the top of the lower carton and to the bottom of the upper carton. For facilitating entry of the cans into an end loading carton and for preventing damaging engagement between the cans and the reinforcing panels, an inwardly extending embossment may be formed in the carton wall adjacent the end edge of the reinforcement panel and if desired the end edge of the reinforcement panel adjacent the end of the carton through which the cans are loaded may be bevelled or may be otherwise configured so as to prevent damage to the carton due to loading of the cans.

摘要： This invention relates to a bottomless bottle carrier for a pair of bottles and which comprises a pair of side walls flanking wall portions of the bottles, the side walls having mutually inclined upper portions hinged together to provide a top wall, the top wall having a bottle-neck receiving aperture for each bottle and including bottle-neck engaging means by which the load exerted by the bottle is transferred to the carrier to support the bottle when the carrier is lifted, a wrap-around end wall connecting together lower portions of the side walls at each end of the carrier and providing, together with the lower side wall portions, a peripheral skirt to maintain the bottles in close side-by-side relationship, and tying flaps secured together within the carrier connecting together the side walls to limit movement of the upper side wall portions away from one another.
