Abstract:
In an aspect, a lifter plate is provided that is capable of a relatively strong connection to a vehicle window. The lifter plate includes a lifter plate body including a first side wall and a second side wall configured to receive a vehicle window therebetween, a window holding member positionable in a locking position to prevent the withdrawal of the vehicle window from between the first and second side walls, and a locking member positioned to prevent the movement of the window holding member out of the locking position in the event of a force urging the withdrawal of the vehicle window from between first and second side walls.

Abstract:
An apparatus for opening and closing a barrier includes a rotatable housing having a first stop surface extending outwardly from an outer surface of the housing, said housing being configured for attachment of said barrier; an electric motor disposed within the housing, said motor having a rotor coupled to a first shaft having an axis, said motor further including a stator fixedly coupled to said housing; a member configured to receive and mechanically fix an end of a second shaft thereto; and a mounting bracket configured for connection to a fixed post, said mounting bracket connected to the member and having a second adjustable stop surface configured to contact the first stop surface and limit rotational movement of said housing relative to said mounting bracket in a first rotational direction, wherein the motor is configured to be selectively activated to effect relative rotational movement of the rotor relative to the stator, and the rotational movement of the motor relative to the mounting bracket causes rotational movement of the housing relative to the mounting bracket. Other apparatuses for opening and closing a barrier are also described.
Abstract:
In a first aspect, the invention is directed to a window regulator for a vehicle window on a sliding vehicle door. The window regulator includes a ratchet that is positionable in a first position and a second position and a pawl that is positionable in a ratchet release position and a ratchet locking position. The position of the ratchet determines the position of a door interlock member for controlling whether the vehicle door is fully openable or not. The window regulator includes a mechanism for separating the ratchet and pawl from each other prior to movement of at least one of the ratchet and pawl from one of its associated positions to the other of its associated positions. The mechanism preferably separates the ratchet and pawl from each other prior to movement of each of the ratchet and pawl from one of its associated positions to the other of its associated positions.
Abstract:
A window regulator prevents a carrier plate from derailing from a guide rail by preventing the generation of a force which is applied when the carrier plate and a stopper member collide with each other and which lifts up the carrier plate. In the window regulator, an impact absorption body is installed in a press fitting recess of the carrier plate. The impact absorption body is made of an elastic material for absorbing an impact caused by a collision between the carrier plate and the stopper member that regulates a slide position of the carrier plate. A collision surface formed on the stopper member is tilted toward the carrier plate with respect to a plane that is perpendicular to an axis of the guide rail such that the collision surface pushes the carrier plate down toward the guide rail when it collides with the impact absorbing body.
Abstract:
A window maintenance apparatus for a tilt-in sash includes a base leg for extending generally upwards from a floor towards a window. The base leg includes a first foot for resting on the floor. A hinged leg is joined to the base leg proximate an end of the base leg for extending generally downwards towards the floor. The hinged leg includes a second foot for resting on the floor. An extension tube extends upwardly from the base leg where a length of the extension tube above the base leg is adjustable. A locking mechanism locks the extension tube at an adjusted length above the base leg. A first sash support is rotatably joined at a first position on the extension tube for rotating about the extension tube from a first position to a second position for supporting the tilt-in sash in a generally horizontal position.
Abstract:
A mounting assembly for operatively mounting one or more glass shower door panels to one or more panels is described. The mounting assembly includes an elongate guide assembly adapted for receiving and retaining a carriage assembly for mounting a reciprocating glass shower door; and a mounting assembly including one or more end mounting devices for mounting one or more ends of the elongate guide assembly perpendicular to one or more glass panels or walls. Also described is a mounting assembly including an elongate guide assembly adapted for receiving and retaining a carriage assembly for mounting a reciprocating glass shower door; and one or more spaced guide mounting devices for connecting the guide assembly to an adjacent parallel panel and spacing the guide assembly a selected distance from and parallel to the adjacent parallel glass wall panel to provide access between the parallel glass wall panel and guide assembly for cleaning.
Abstract:
A loose-pin hinge with integrated stop includes a first hinge leaf having a knuckle having a bore therethrough and a second hinge leaf including a lower knuckle and an upper knuckle each having a bore therethrough. The lower knuckle and the upper knuckle are interdigitially mated with the knuckle of the first leaf such that the bores of the knuckles are coaxially aligned. The hinge further includes a hinge pin having a shank, a head disposed at an upper end of the shank, and a stop member extending radially outward from the head. The shank of the hinge pin is received through the coaxially aligned bores of the knuckles to enable the first leaf to pivot about the hinge pin with respect to the second leaf, the stop member limiting the pivoting of the first leaf to a maximum pivoting angle with respect to the second leaf.
Abstract:
A stop arrangement for forming an adjustable stop between a first component and a second component that are movable in relation to each other, in particular between a vehicle body and a flap hinge-connected to it, including a fastening element which is connected to the first component and has a first threaded portion, and including a stop part, which serves as a stop for the second component and has a second threaded portion, which can be brought into engagement with the first threaded portion in such a way that, by turning the stop part, the distance of the latter from the first component can be set.
