    摘要: A heat exchange apparatus (10, 10, 10b) for selectively heating and/or cooling a process fluid (38). A process fluid tubing 14 is wrapped around a primary thermally conductive cylinder (12) having a spiral groove (24) therein adapted for closely accepting the process fluid tubing (14) and increasing the area in thermal contact therebetween. The process fluid tubing (14) is a generally chemically inert tubing. The spiral groove (24) supports the process fluid tubing (14) such that the process fluid tubing (14) can be bent in a radius smaller than the natural minimum bend radius of the process fluid tubing (14). Various embodiments have a cooling apparatus (26, 26a) for cooling the process fluid (38). The cooling apparatus (26, 26a) has a outer thermally conductive cylinder (16) or an outer thermal reservoir (50) cooled alternatively by coolant fluid (44) passing through cooling fluid tubing (18), by a plurality of thermoelectric modules (54), or by a combination thereof.

The cooling medium generator (2) is an ice slush generator. The present invention also relates to a method of cooling a beverage flowing through a beverage line using ice slush as a cooling medium.

    摘要: A cooling module applied for liquid containers comprises: A cooling pipeline forms with an inlet and an outlet for refrigerant to flow through. The liquid pipeline conducts liquids to flow through a thermal-exchanging matrix. The thermal-exchanging matrix is made from metals such as copper or aluminum. The cooling pipeline and liquid pipeline are both installed inside the thermal-exchanging matrix. The thermal-exchanging matrix is pre-cooled and therefore being kept at a predetermined temperature by the thermal controller. Consequently, through flown in and out of the thermal-exchanging matrix, the liquid is cooled down in short time and therefore kept at the predetermined temperature.

    摘要: An article includes a flexible bag that has a cavity therein. A predetermined quantity of ice pellets are deposited within a cavity of the bag and a predetermined quantity of polymer pellets are deposited within the cavity of the bag and mixed with the ice pellets such that a homogenous mixture of the ice pellets and the polymer pellets is formed within the cavity. Such polymer pellets and ice pellets have coextensive shapes. The polymer pellets further have liquid-absorbing characteristics such that melted ice is advantageously absorbed and retained by the polymer pellets during extended periods of time, thereby conveniently eliminating the need to drain the bag. The polymer pellets have vapor-releasing characteristics such that thermo-energy is released from the melted ice as a vapor rather than as a liquid to thereby advantageously prevent a surrounding area from becoming water damaged.

    摘要: A beverage dispensing system is characterized by an ice/beverage dispenser and a remote beverage tower. The dispenser has a cold plate, a carbonator pump and a carbonator tank and the tower has a carbonator tank. To chlll the tower carbonator tank, a dosed loop fluid circuit extends between and heat exchange couples the dispenser cold plate and the tower carbonator tank. The dispenser carbonator pump can be used to circulate water through the closed loop circuit or a carbonator pump for the tower can be used for the purpose. A valve arrangement is provided for and as part of the dispenser cold plate to conveniently enable the dispenser to be switched between stand-alone operation and operation as a base unit for the remote tower. Arrangement is also made to cause ice agitation at the dispenser in response to drinks dispense at the remote tower to maintain a supply on the cold plate.
