Abstract:
The present invention provides novel salts and solvates of macrocyclic compounds that bind to and/or are functional agonists of the ghrelin (growth hormone secretagogue) receptor. The invention also relates to polymorphs of these salts and solvates, pharmaceutical compositions containing these salts or solvates, and methods of using the pharmaceutical compositions. These pharmaceutical compositions are useful as therapeutics for a range of disease indications, in particular, for treatment and prevention of gastrointestinal disorders including, but not limited to, postoperative ileus, gastroparesis, including diabetic and postsurgical gastroparesis, opioid bowel dysfunction, chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction, short bowel syndrome, functional gastrointestinal disorders and gastrointestinal dysmotility, such as that occurring in conjunction with other disease states, in critical care situations or as a result of treatment with pharmaceutical agents. Additionally, the pharmaceutical compositions have application to the treatment and prevention of metabolic and/or endocrine disorders, cardiovascular disorders, central nervous system disorders, bone disorders, inflammatory disorders, hyperproliferative disorders, disorders characterized by apoptosis and genetic disorders.
Abstract:
A gravity-feed unit that dispenses cool drinks form a carboy includes a breakable inner seal. The carboy is supported by its neck, which is centered on a striker. The striker includes a discharge passage for the carboy that communicates with a coiled pipe to cause the beverage to flow through a secondary exchanger. A heat transferring agent is previously cooled in a primary exchanger and brought to the secondary exchanger by a pump. Actuation is controlled by a temperature sensor that measures the temperature of the heat transfer agent in the secondary exchanger. The primary exchanger includes a heat source that causes the heat transfer agent to pass continuously inside a closed circuit mutually connecting the primary and secondary exchangers regardless of whether the pump is operating.
Abstract:
A helmet comprising a helmet front half section, helmet rear half section and a locking assembly. The helmet front half section includes at least one engagement region. The helmet rear half section includes at least one corresponding engagement region. The locking assembly a structure for orientating the locking assembly between a locked position and an unlocked position. In the locked position, the locking assembly results in secured engagement of the at least one engagement region of the front and rear helmet half sections with each other. The unlocked position facilitates slidable movement of the at least one engagement region of the front and rear helmet half sections and, in turn, the helmet half sections, relative to each other
Abstract:
A method of securing a watercraft to a watercraft trailer is disclosed. The method includes driving the watercraft in a watercraft receiving portion of the trailer, moving a lever towards a front of the trailer in response to a hull of the watercraft coming into contact with the lever, and retaining a pin connected to the hull of the watercraft in response to the lever moving towards the front of the trailer. A method of releasing a watercraft from a watercraft trailer is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A watercraft trailer has a watercraft receiving portion and a lower frame adapted to support a watercraft in the watercraft receiving portion. The lower frame has at least one longitudinally extending lower frame member. The trailer also has a hitch coupler connected to a front of the lower frame, a first wheel and a second wheel operatively connected to the lower frame, and a walk board connected to the lower frame.
Abstract:
A watercraft trailer has a watercraft receiving portion and a lower frame adapted to support a watercraft in the watercraft receiving portion. The lower frame has at least one a longitudinally extending member, a front portion, and a rear portion, a rearmost part of the rear portion being a rear end. The trailer also has a hitch coupler connected to the front portion of the lower frame, a first wheel, having a rotation axis, and a second wheel operatively connected to the lower frame. The trailer has a longitudinally extending intake protector connected to the rear portion of the lower frame. At least a portion of the intake protector is disposed between the rotation axis and the rear end of the lower frame, such that when the watercraft is received in the watercraft receiving portion, the intake protector is disposed below at least a portion of the watercraft.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fluid cooling system (1), for use in dispensing or distributing a chilled or cooled fluid, comprising a primary heat exchanger system (2), a secondary heat exchanger system (3), a first conduit (9) through which fluid to be cooled or chilled is circulated, and a heat transfer agent (8) for transferring cooling energy to the fluid to be chilled circulating in the first conduit (9), wherein the primary and secondary heat exchanger systems (2, 3) are arranged at least partially one inside of another The invention also relates to cooled fluid dispensers incorporating the fluid cooling system and a methods for sterilization thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a brush 10 suitable for coming into contact with conducting plates 12 provided on an electric motor commutator 11. According to the invention, the brush has a means 15 for adjusting its pole coverage between the start of life of the motor and its stabilized operation. This is therefore a brush with pole coverage that can be varied over its operating life. Such a brush is more particularly fitted into a motor for a ventilation (air conditioning) system for motor vehicle.
Abstract:
A self-contained cooling unit for drinking water fountains, wherein the cooling unit includes an outer casing (2) forming a fluidtight chamber. A thermal exchange fluid is held within the chamber. Also a source of cold energy is transferable to the thermal exchange fluid. Additionally at least one drinking water conduit is arranged within the chamber, having a drinking water inlet and a drinking water outlet outside of said chamber.
Abstract:
A helmet is particularly well suited for cold-weather use. The helmet includes a jaw shield that is detachable from a head portion. A breathing mask connects to the jaw shield via a mask adjustment mechanism that selectively axially moves the breathing mask toward and away from an inner surface of the jaw shield to precisely and accurately position the breathing mask against the nose and mouth of the helmet's wearer. A spring-loaded quick-release tinted shield is controlled by a lever that selectively raises and lowers the tinted shield. An eye shield pivotally connects to the helmet and is disposed in front of the tinted shield. An eye shield heating system on the eye shield electrically connects to the head portion of the helmet to provide electric power to the heating system.
