    摘要： A firearm includes a receiver and a bolt carrier disposed in the receiver. The bolt carrier is moveable between a firing position and a rearward position. A rod is fixed relative to the bolt carrier and a hand guard is coupled to the receiver about the rod. A handle assembly is slideably supported by the hand guard and is moveable toward the receiver to define a charging motion and away from the receiver to define a forward assist motion. The handle assembly receives the rod during both of the charging and forward assist motions. An arm is coupled to the base and is moveable between a disengaged position spaced from the rod and an engaged position abutting the rod. When the arm is in the engaged position, the handle assembly is moved to move the rod and the bolt carrier in either of the charging and the forward assist motions.

    摘要： The weapon charger for a combat vehicle includes a charger slide means in the weapon mantlet adapted to slide to a rearward position to engage and cock the weapon sear block and to a forward position to disengage from the sear block. The charger slide means is slid by means of a chain means connected thereto extending through the mantlet into the turret of the vehicle and driven by a hand crank actuated spur gear inside the turret. The crank is rotated clockwise to pull the charger slide means rearwardly to cock the sear block. A return spring means attached to the charger slide means pulls same to its forward position when the crank means is rotated counterclockwise.

    摘要： A manual cocking device or charger contains an entrainment element operatively connected to a weapon breechblock and movable by means of a tensioning or cocking chain. A sprocket wheel engages with the cocking or tensioning chain and is driven by means of a handcrank which can be fitted onto a drive shaft. For avoiding a premature advance of the breechblock and eliminating the danger of injury to the gun operator by the handcrank, a locking wheel is rigidly mounted for rotation upon the drive shaft. This locking wheel is arrested by means of a locking pin or bolt in a rotational sense which is opposite to the drive rotational direction. The handcrank is axially aligned upon the drive shaft by means of a safety bolt. By means of a common holder or support the locking bolt and the safety bolt can be simultaneously disengaged upon termination of the cocking operation.
