    摘要: An improved bolt and bolt carrier with integral gas key having an extension nozzle threadedly secured and pinned to the gas key for use with a direct gas operated firearm is provided. The extension nozzle is designed to receive a portion of the host firearm's gas operating system. The firing pin retaining pin is oriented so as to expose its widest profile to the firing pin's annular flange, increasing its service life. The bolt has a plurality of lugs extending from its forward end. The extractor recess is constructed so that the face of the bolt is round and the adjacent lugs fully supported. The extractor engages approximately 17% more of a seated ammunition cartridge's rim as compared to the prior art AR15/M16 extractor. The result is an improved bolt and bolt carrier which provides for increased operational reliability.

    摘要: An automatic weapon system including a gas evacuation opening formed in a bore of a barrel, a gas evacuation chamber, a barrel immobilizing device, a slide, a weapon frame with guides for guiding slide movement, a return spring mechanism of the slide and the breech. The gas evacuation chamber is disposed at a near-bore space located at the barrel bore outlet, a front wall of the chamber located at the barrel bore outlet is attached at the barrel outlet and having a lower part resting on a weapon frame. A rear wall of the chamber is formed by at least one bridge assembly having one end attached to the slide and another end sliding along the barrel, the bridge assembly is formed by a substantially flat plate having a groove extending from the barrel to the frame and sliding along the barrel, at least one sealing gasket. The frame of the weapon serves as the lower part of the evacuation chamber, the slide serves as upper and side walls of the chamber, a downwardly directed ledge provided at the front of the slide.

    摘要: Retaining devices securable on firearms are selectively operable to engage and retain a bolt assembly in a substantially-fixed position for an indeterminate period of time. The retaining devices include a mounting plate securable to the receiver and a retention pin that extends through a passage in the mounting plate. The retention pin extends axially between first and second ends that project outwardly beyond the mounting plate. The retention pin is supported on the mounting plate for axial displacement between a first pin position and a second pin position. In the first pin position, the second end of the retention pin engages and retains the bolt assembly in a substantially-fixed position relative to the receiver. In the second pin position, the second end of the retention pin is disengaged from the bolt assembly.

    摘要: A handguard assembly for installation on a firearm includes a handguard, an index block, a first fastener, and a second fastener. The handguard includes first and second clearance apertures and the index block includes first and second threaded apertures. The first and second fasteners extend through the respective first and second clearance apertures and threaded into the respective first and second threaded apertures. The first and second fasteners define respective first and second longitudinal axes that are non-parallel and non-collinear with each other. Tightening the first and second fasteners with respect to the index block secures the handguard to the index block and prevents movement of the handguard relative firearm.
