In some embodiments, the system may change the original frequency content of an audio data file to a second frequency content so that a recorded audio track will sound as if a different person had recorded it when it is played back. In other embodiments, the system may receive an audio data file and a voice signature, and it may apply the voice signature to the audio data file to alter the audio output of the audio data file. In that instance, the audio data file may be a textual representation of a recorded audio data file.

The remastering system may further include a frequency-specific time alignment corrector and equalizer that delays lower frequencies of the input signal with respect to higher frequencies of the input signal to produce an alignment of signal components that is truer to the original recorded sound. A method of setting an equalizer so as to enlarge a sound field in reproducing an audio file and a method of reproducing an audio file thereby, includes: dividing an input audio file into segments with a predetermined time length; extracting an audio feature value for each segment; determining equalizer information for reproducing each segment by the use of the extracted feature value; and determining an equalizer sequence for the audio file by the use of the determined equalizer information of each segment. Since the equalizer setting information can be automatically changed without user manipulation, the user can listen to an audio file of which the sound field is dynamically enlarged.
