Abstract: A waterproof simplex receptacle includes a main body and a front portion. The front portion includes a front surface and rear surface. Terminals are recessed rearwardly from openings formed in the front surface, and are connected to wires extending rearwardly from the main body. The front surface includes a first surface portion, in the vicinity of the openings, which is positioned forwardly from a second surface portion that is located generally outboard of the first surface portion. Optionally, the first surface portion may be in the form of outwardly-extending ridges around the terminal openings, a convex surface, or a sloped or slanted surface, for example, and configured to direct water or other liquids away from the terminal openings associated with the terminals.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a device for monitoring the condition of a branch circuit. A device contains a switch that is normally open to prevent the occurrence of electric shock. An optical prong detector is provided to determine weather both the hot and neutral prongs of a plug have been inserted into the receptacle. The receptacle provides conductance upon determination of insertion of a plug into the receptacle. Additional features include GFI detection, current detection heat detection warning lights and an audible alarm. The receptacle includes communication abilities with remote devices to transmit data indicative of the state of the device.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a rotatable electrical plug. The rotatable electrical plug includes a housing, a first conductor, a second conductor, a third conductor, and a rotator. The first conductor, the second conductor, and the third conductor are provided in a first conductive region, a second conductive region, and a third conductive region in the housing respectively, wherein the projection regions of the first conductive region and the second conductive region in the normal direction of the housing are overlapped. Both of the first conductor and the second conductor are of a tubular form formed by a single metal sheet, and the first conductor, the second conductor, and the third conductor are electrically contacted to a first contactor, a second contactor, and a third conductor in the inner side of the rotator respectively. Abstract: An electrical cord covering system may include a first covering portion, a second covering portion, and a compression portion. Each of the covering portions may have an interior region, a cable aperture, a plug aperture, and a mating portion. The interior region of each covering portion may house a portion of a cable and a plug of a respective electrical cord. The cable aperture of each covering portion can accommodate the cable of the respective electrical cord. The plug aperture of each covering portion may permit the plugs of the different electrical cords to mate. The mating portions may allow the covering portions to mate. The compression portion may nest within the interior regions of the covering portions and accommodate the plugs. When the covering portions are mated, the compression portion may form seals at the cable apertures of the covering portions.

Abstract: A low-profile flat plug electrical connector having an integrated strain relief section and an interlocking terminating end is disclosed. The flat plug electrical connector has a housing for holding the electrical cable and prongs, and a cap for covering the internal structure of the housing. The housing has an integrated strain relief section for preventing damage to the flat plug electrical connector from abrupt pulling or pushing of the electrical cords.
