Abstract:
A multifunctional printer retains image data in an image memory when paper runs out during a copying operation, until another operation is requested or a predetermined time period expires. Also, the multifunctional printer retains information of the document that has not been recorded in a RAM when erasing the image data. Then, the information is displayed on an operation panel when the document needs to be re-scanned in order to enable the user to re-scan the document.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus for outputting a page image corresponding to print data inputted from an external source has an analyzer for analyzing the print data at the time of outputting the first copy and generating a page image, an image spooler for holding the page image at the time of outputting the first copy, and a page image reading unit for reading out the spooled page image at the time of outputting the second and subsequent copies. Whether the image spooler and the page image reading unit are used or not is discriminated in accordance with the maximum number of sorting page images which can be processed at once by a mechanical sorter and the designated number of print copies.
Abstract:
It enables to shorten a communication time for both-side transmission in a case where an original document includes such information of the one side as being blank, and further to perform, on a reception side, both-side recording intended by a transmission side even if the order of pages to be transmitted is changed or even if the front and/or back sides of the original document are took out and put in.When page data including image data of either one of front and back sides of the original document is transmitted and received, a transmitter adds, to the page data to be transmitted, attribute data of at least a page counter (PC) representing the number of pages of the real original document, information (SIDE) representing whether the front side or the back side of the original document, and virtual page number data (VPC) synchronous with transmission order of the page data, and then transmits the page data added with the attribute data, and a receiver side image-records the received page data to both sides of a recording paper, on the basis of the transmitted attribute data of the page counter (PC) representing the number of pages of the real original document and the information (SIDE) representing whether the front side or the back side of the original document.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to an image reading apparatus provided with an automatic document feeder (hereinafter referred to as an ADF). The apparatus enables registration of image data as one piece of data even when a document is read as a number of bundles (each bundle includes at least one page and is not more than the loading capacity of the ADF).Owing to this, when document images are divided into two or more bundles for successive reading, different read settings can be determined for the different bundles.
Abstract:
A copying apparatus includes first and second original placement sections with a predetermined orientation of long and short sides of the original to be placed, an image read section for reading the image from the original that has been transported from the first original placement section while the image read section is stationary or from the original that has been placed on the second original placement section while the image read section is moved relative to the original. The copying apparatus causes an image formation section to form the images of a plurality of originals read by the image read section on one side of one recording medium in a predetermined layout based on a detection result of a detection section and a specification of an image orientation specifying section.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes a receiving unit for receiving image information, a storage unit for storing the image information received by the receiving unit, an output unit for outputting the image information received by the receiving unit, a discriminating unit for discriminating among modes used when the image information is output by the output unit, and a control unit in which after the image information is output by the output unit in accordance with discrimination by the discriminating unit, the control unit performs control so that the image information output by the output unit is not stored in the storage unit.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes an image input unit that inputs image data, a storage unit that stores the image data inputted by the image input unit, an image output unit that reads the image data from the storage unit to output the read image data, and a data deleting controller that controls a deleting operation of the image data stored in storage unit based upon a condition of an acceptance of a next job.
Abstract:
A digital image data and producing an image on a recording medium based on the image data is provided. The digital image outputting device detects the page-size of image data received. The image data is compressed and stored in an image memory. The stored image data is expanded within the image memory in a compressed state. The necessary capacity of the recording area is determined based on presumption of both the detected and the worst data-compressing rate. A recording area is reserved which matches the determined capacity. The image data compressed by the data compressor is stored in the reserved recording area.
Abstract:
In cases where it has been judged that image data for predetermined pages are capable of being stored in a free storage area of a storage section of a printer, the image data for the predetermined pages are stored and held in the storage section. In the printer, an image forming process is iterated the number of times equal to the number of copies. The image forming process comprises reading of the image data for the predetermined pages from the storage section, acceptance of the image data for the remaining pages outputted from a print control apparatus, and formation of an image represented by image information composed of the image data for the predetermined pages having been read from the storage section and the image data for the remaining pages having been accepted from the print control apparatus.
Abstract:
In the case in which an image processing mode is a high-speed copy mode in which follow-up control is possible, setting is made to perform nullfollow-up controlnull for setting a mode for not compressing an image or a fixed length compression mode for an image read by a scanner, storing an inputted image in a memory in accordance with the setting, and outputting the image stored in the memory to a printer during scanning. Consequently, image input/output processing from input and storage of an image in the memory until output of the stored image can be performed at high speed.
