摘要: The invention relates to a safety ski binding and in particular, a heel support having a base plate supporting a vertical pivot, the heel support being fastened to the upper side of the ski. The heel support includes a sole support being upwardly pivotable against detachable locking and a support plate for the heel of the ski boot, which can be pivoted about a vertical axle. The support plate is pushed by a spring into its central position along the ski. To shift in such a ski binding the axis of rotation for the ski boot is essentially an extension of the shinbone of the skier. Thus, the pivot is located between the front jaw and the heel support and the support plate is pivotally mounted at the pivot. The heel support is opened in a horizontal release process by a control mechanism formed by a roller and a cam. The roller is mounted in the base plate by means of its axle extending in the longitudinal direction of the ski. The roller cooperates with a control element to actuate the detachable locking of the heel support.

摘要: A pedal-actuated ski brake biased into the braking position and having a means for holding the brake prong inboard of the ski when in the skiing position. The ski brake may also have a means for biasing the brake prong outboard of the ski when in the braking position. When the ski brake is used with a turntable ski binding, the pedal is received inside an opening in the turntable and there is also a means for engaging the heel retainer so as to hinder unwanted movement.

摘要: A sole-support mechanism having a stepping plate for the heel of a ski boot which is urged by a spring-loaded ski binding part, in particular by a heel holder, toward a front jaw which forms a ski-fixed support in longitudinal direction of the ski, and is supported on a guide plate, which plate is movable in longitudinal direction of the ski through the force of at least one thrust spring over a holding rail or the like, wherein the upper side of the sole-support mechanism consists, if desired, of a material which has a low friction coefficient or has a layer of such a material.

摘要: The invention relates to a ski-boot and to a ski-binding to be used in combination therewith. The ski-boot is provided with a rolling sole curved continuously in the longitudinal direction, by means of which walking is greatly facilitated, even in the case of a boot having a rigid upper and sole. The binding comprises moulded parts adapted to the curved rolling sole of the ski-boot, upon which the said ski-boot rests when the ski is in use, and which fill up, at least locally, the free space between the flat surface of the ski and the curved rolling sole; or it may have engaging parts which engage positively in recesses or grooves in the sole of the ski-boot, thus securing the ski-boot immovably to the ski. The moulded parts, which may fill up the free space between the surface of the ski and the curved rolling sole, may be either integral functioning parts of the ski-binding or accessories fitted to bindings of conventional design.

摘要: A ski binding includes a first member pivotally mounted on a base plate but normally locked in a rest position by means of a manually operable catch. A second member supporting a bootengaging jaw is connected to the first member by means including a rod extending through central recesses of the two members, the two members having facing bearing surfaces with complementary cross-shaped profiles. A nut on the rod cooperates with a socket on the first member to form a ball-and-socket joint, and a spring urges the second member relative to the rod to hold the second member against the first member, the complementary profiles coacting to hold the second member and jaw in a rest position but allowing release by raising or sideward displacement of the jaw and second member against the action of the spring. By releasing the catch, the jaw and second and first members can be pivoted together to a raised position for voluntary release or for insertion of a boot.
