    摘要： A system for automatic computer monitoring and management of a billiard game comprises a controller comprising a memory of processor executable code and a database of billiard game information, an image capturing system for capturing real time images of the billiard game and providing the controller with these images and a user interface. Execution of the processor executable code causes the controller to perform the computer implementable steps of storing in the database player information, identifying players of the billiard game based on the stored player formation, identifying the balls on the playing surface area of the billiard table, associating the identified balls to the identified players, assessing billiard game results by comparing the images to the stored billiard game information and communicating assessed billiard game results via the user interface. The system provides apparatus, kits and associated methods therefor.

The method disclosed includes placing a lag winner determination device such that the device is alongside a side rail of the billiards table and closer to a head rail of the billiards table than billiard balls used in the lag. The method further includes activating an illumination source within the lag winner determination device and moving the illumination source until it provides incident light to one of the billiard balls used in the lag. The method further includes determining the winner as a player that used the billiard ball that received the incident light from the illumination source.

    摘要： A racking device for arranging a plurality of balls on a table includes a frame having a proximal end and a distal end, a racking portion coupled to the frame adjacent the distal end, a handle bar coupled to the frame, and a ball setting member comprising an engagement surface. The racking portion includes at least two side walls that are coupled together to form a corner. The distal end of the frame and the side walls define a void configured for receiving the plurality of balls. The ball setting member is coupled to the handle bar, and the engagement surface of the ball setting member is movable toward the void to urge the balls against the side walls and into abutment with each other and away from the void without disturbing the arrangement of the balls.
