Abstract:
A grommet-remover tool has a grommet-flange cutter (1) with a cylindrical cutting surface (2) that is articulated to cut through a grommet flange (3) proximate a connection of the grommet flange to a grommet sleeve (4) with minimal, if any, cutter grasping of the grommet flange and rotating the grommet in a grommet aperture in covering material (8) to which the grommet is affixed. The grommet-flange cutter includes an attachment boss (6) with which it is attachable to a rotational tool (7).
Abstract:
A tool for countersinking, deburring and spindling out holes is described, consisting of a blade holder driven rotationally about its longitudinal axis, in which, at an angle to its longitudinal axis, at least one recess is arranged, in which one or more cutting blades or their holders are held as exchangeably and/or displaceably load-transmitting. In order to guarantee better protection against tilting and breaking of the cutting blade out of the recess in the blade holder it is provided that the recess is formed from radii substantially blending into one another.
Abstract:
Boring bits and methods for manufacturing boring bits. The method includes the acts of forming a shank including one end connectable to a power tool and an opposite end, molding a cutting head separate from the shank, the cutting head including a base wall and a side wall extending from the base wall, the base wall having an interior base surface and an exterior base surface, and bonding the shank and the cutting head as a unit including bonding the opposite end of the shank to the exterior base surface.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a drilling tool for hole-drilling in metallic materials, including a drill body (11) as well as at least one cutting insert (12) located in the front end thereof, defining the periphery of the drill, the drill body having a number of axially extending chip channels (14, 15) and bars (16, 17) situated therebetween. Characteristic of the new tool is that the drill body (11) has been provided with a damping unit (18) situated at an axial distance behind the cutting inserts in at least one chip channel which damping unit entirely or partly fills up a portion of said chip channel, and which damping unit is composed of two material portions (18a, 18b, 23a, 23b) made up of different rigidities.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for releasably connecting two coaxially aligned tool parts (1, 2) which can be axially pressed against each other on separating surfaces (36, 38) that face each other with a clamping device. According to the invention, at least one of the separating surfaces (38) is divided into several axially rigid and torsionally soft bearing segments (50) which are spaced in a peripheral direction, in order to dampen the torsional oscillations that occur during the work process and reduce noise.
Abstract:
In a cylindrical bore head tool including a shaft part with a head support structure and a bore head disposed on the bore head support structure, the bore head support structure with the shaft are an integral part made of tool steel and the cutting head is a sintered hard metal body, and the bore head support structure and the bore head include cooperating form-locking elements by which the bore head is centered on the bore head support structure and rotationally firmly engaged there-with.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a drilling tool (36), in particular for working concrete, rock, masonry and suchlike materials, having a single- or multi-edge tool head with at least one cutting body (1) which comprises a central region (12) which is designed in a roof shape, has rake faces and flanks and is defined laterally by two outer regions (13, 14) set back in the effective direction of the drill. In this case, the ground surfaces of the central region (12) form a pyramidal point (15) while avoiding the formation of a chisel edge.
Abstract:
A drilling head including a base body (1), a bit (2) securable in a recess (10) formed in the base body (1) at the end of the base body (1) and facing in a drilling direction (B), and guide elements for guiding the base body and the bit relative to each other in a direction transverse to the drilling direction.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a chisel (1) or a hammer drill, in particular insertable chisel or insertable drill for power-driven drill and chisel hammers, with an insertion end (2), with a chisel shank (3) or drill shank and with a chisel head (4) or drill shank located opposite the insertion end (2). In this case, the diameter of the shank (3) increases in the direction of the chisel head (4) at least once from a first, small diameter to a second, large diameter and decreases again from this to a small diameter or forms at least one bead (8).
Abstract:
A hole-finishing hole finishing tool includes a pilot cone within which a quarter round section is free to be displaced in an axial direction. The quarter round section is resiliently biased away from a workpiece. When the tip of the pilot cone is inserted into a hole in a workpiece and force is applied, the quarter round section having a cutting element at its tip is displaced forward into contact with the perimeter of the hole, whereby chamfering is performed. The use of a single lip quarter-round cutting edge permits the tool to be used on small holes.
