摘要: A lower drill tool that is structurally configured to receive a bracket, and, to cooperate with an upper drill tool having a pair of spaced apart drill bits. The lower drill tool has part receiving surface, a pair of spaced apart drill bores, a central bore, a centering nub and a biasing member. The drill bores extend downwardly away from the part receiving surface. The central bore is between the drill bores and extends downwardly away from the part receiving surface. The centering nub is slidable within the central bore, and has an upper tip extendable beyond the part receiving surface, positionable between an extended position and a partially retracted position. The upper tip has a conical configuration. The biasing member is positioned within the central bore and biases the centering nub toward the extended position. A drill system and a method are also disclosed.

摘要: A drill for drilling a blind hole having a blind hole diameter and a blind hole depth in a metal workpiece is provided, the drill comprising a shaft, defining a drilling direction, and a rotation axis oriented in the drilling direction, the shaft having, on an end pointing in the drilling direction, a cutting edge and a stop shoulder at a distance from the cutting edge which defines the blind hole depth, wherein the cutting edge defines the blind hole diameter by rotating about the rotation axis, the shaft having an enveloping circle diameter which changes along the rotation axis and which is larger than the blind hole diameter on the stop shoulder, the shaft having a first shaft section arranged between the cutting edge and the stop shoulder which reaches to the stop shoulder and in which the enveloping circle diameter is smaller than the blind hole diameter.

摘要: An air jet includes a body portion defining a hollow main body portion having an interior opening, and a connection portion having an air passageway in communication with the interior opening. The connection portion includes at least one connection port for attachment to a hose carrying pressurized air, and a flange portion defining a recessed mount surface inside a peripheral lip surrounding a recess, with a plurality of open regions defined in the peripheral lip. A nozzle member is fitted into the interior opening and has a nozzle orifice and nozzle tip protruding into the recess, the nozzle opening configured to allow pressurized air to pass from the connection port through the central opening and through the nozzle orifice into the tub hole and the tub.

摘要: The present invention provides a new drilling tool useful in machining hydraulic port seals for fluid power ports. The drilling tool drills the port hole to size in a solid material for the minor thread diameter in combination with forming the port in a single operation. The drilling tool has a tool holder having a rotational axis, a first drilling insert having cutting surfaces on a first side and a mounting surface on a second side, at least one second drilling insert having a predetermined cutting surface portion and a mounting portion which is mounted on the holder at a location from the rotational axis of the holder. The at least one second drilling insert has first and second portions which engage and machine a work piece in a drilling operation to form a spot face and a seal form.

摘要: An improved device and method for use in machining a workpiece, which includes a tool body with a machining tool having two machining surface, wherein one of the machining surfaces is being selectively movable between a retracted position and an extended position. A supporting mechanism is sized and configured to substantially restrict movement of the machining tool relative to the tool body while the one machining surface is positioned in the retracted position. Preferably, the supporting mechanism includes an interior surface having a frustoconical-shaped tapered configuration, and the reciprocable machining surface has an engageable surface sized and configured to be frictionally engaged against the interior surface. In a preferred embodiment, the interior surface has an angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the tool body from about 20 to about 50 degrees, and more preferably about 40 degrees. A drive mechanism can be disposed in the tool body for selectively and quickly moving the machining tool from its retracted or supported position for movement to its extended position.

摘要: A tool for cutting or reaming a counterbore in a workpiece is guided by a pilot member secured in a bore. The tool includes a rotatable blade holder having a plurality of attached cutter blades. One of the cutter blades has a lateral cutting edge at a pre-selected radial distance from the rotational axis of the blade holder. The remaining cutter blades do not include lateral cutting edges. Consequently, the lateral or diametral dimension of the counterbore is defined by a single blade. This arrangement substantially prevents oversizing of the counterbore.
