Abstract: A hanger and sheet lifter for ring binders or the like whereby the ring binder may be hung on spaced parallel rails conventionally employed in many filing systems. The hanger is defined by an elongated member having a length greater than the length of the spine of the ring binder with which it is to be used. The ends of the member are provided with hooks which open in the same direction. The member also includes a plurality of slots corresponding in number to the number of rings in the ring binder in which it is to be used and which extends longitudinally of the member. The length of the slot is such that the hanger can move from a position wherein both hooks extend outwardly from opposite ends of the spine of the ring binder to a position wherein one of the hooks is wholly received within the ring binder to enable the ring binder to be stood on end without the lowermost hook interfering with the supporting surface.

Abstract: A support device for record elements is shown. The device includes a first support and a second support. The first support includes an elongated holding bar carrying sustaining members at opposite ends thereof. The first support also includes a laterally and outwardly projecting portion downwardly disposed from the holding bar and provided with a second channel open at the bottom thereof. A second support includes a substantially planar base element and an overlying upwardly disposed and outwardly extending portion which is slidably movable within the second channel and provided with a third elongated channel open at the top thereof. The base element is provided with a series of holes therewithin which are adapted to register with similar holes provided within a post binder. A post binder is also shown which includes a pair of covers each having a support portion and a pivotally connected flap portion. The binder also includes a channel connected to one of the support portions of the covers and carrying a compressor member thereupon. The channel and adjacent covers are provided with a plurality of spaced series of holes each series adapted to register with one of the holes within the base element of the second support.

Abstract: A hanging file folder having a front panel and a rear panel formed integrally from a piece of paper and connected about a bottom fold. A hanger member is formed integrally with the panels at the upper end of each and each hanger member includes a plurality of plies of the panel folded one upon the other and adhered to one another. Each hanger member includes an upper portion and a lower portion with the upper portion having hooks formed at the opposite ends thereof and which are located laterally outwardly of the sides of the panels. The lower portion of each hanger member is offset relative to the upper portion to strengthen the hanger member. The hooks extend toward the bottom fold but terminate short of the lower portion of each hanger member.

Abstract: In a hanging file assembly having a pair of rails with generally C-shaped fastening clips disposed thereon. Locking rods in parallelism with the rails are provided with recesses, and when the fastening clips are urged into and seat in the recesses, such rails and rods form the basic structure of the hanging file assembly. A support member having cutout portions is adapted to fit into slots provided in the rods so as to add to the rigidity of the total assembly. The recesses are provided with a keyway having at least one sloping surface to insure for positive locking as between the rails and the rods.

Abstract: A device comprising support means including a pair of members bent in zigzag fashion for supporting in a number of valleys formed in the support means a number of aperture cards, microfiches or other information cards each having projections on opposite sides thereof.
