    摘要: A combination drink and spray sports bottle defines a nested arrangement of inner and outer containers that provides a nested set of segregated inner and outer chambers for containing separate quantities of liquid, with a drinking straw being provided for withdrawing drinking liquid from the outer chamber, and with a manually operated spray device being provided for withdrawing spraying liquid from the inner chamber. The outer container has an upstanding body that defines a relatively large neck opening near its upper end, through which the upstanding body of the inner container is insertable. A large cap closes the large neck opening of outer container. A central opening and an off-center opening are formed through the large cap. The straw extends through the off-center opening of the large cap and has a lower end region for depending into a quantity of drinking liquid carried in the outer chamber. A relatively small neck opening of the inner container communicates with the spray device through the central opening of the large cap, and the spray device has a suction tube for depending into a quantity of spraying liquid carried in the inner chamber. The large cap not only closes the outer container but also serves to position and support the inner container and its spray device, to position the drinking straw, and to provide a vent for relieving pressure within the outer chamber.

An arm (21) is projected rearwardly from an outer surface of the nozzle head (8). A first engaging portion (23) is provided at an upper portion of the trigger (5). A second engaging portion (26) is provided at a front surface of a lower portion of the cylinder (4). When the trigger (5) is positioned at its front-most position and the nozzle head (8) is rotated, a part of the arm (21) is detachably engaged with the first engaging portion (23), another part of the arm (21) is detachably engaged with the second engaging portion (26), so that the plunger (6) can not move rearwardly even if a user attempts to pull the trigger (5).

The bottom portion may have an integrally molded dip tube structure. Various devices for allowing inverted dispensing are disclosed. Also, various devices for sealing the spray orifice are disclosed.

    摘要: In a container for dispensing viscous food product having viscosity such as of ketchup, mustard, melted cheese or the like, is a housing for a pump, a dispenser, and valves. The housing has a pumping chamber and dispensing chamber, with first and second valves associated with the pumping and dispensing chambers, respectively. The pump chamber is sized to receive part of a pump. The dispensing chamber is sized to receive part of a dispenser, which can include a base. An angled flow passage connects the pump chamber to the dispensing chamber. The first and second valves can both include a ball. Structure is provided for checking the upward movement of the first and second valves during pumping and dispensing strokes and to hold the dispenser to the housing, which in a preferred embodiment comprises a U-shaped pin which passes into the dispensing chamber and engages the dispenser, and into the pump chamber. A notch in the side of the housing permits easy grasping of the U-shaped pin. The dispensing chamber has a ledge to support the dispenser base that provides a seal against viscous food product flow around the dispenser.

    摘要: This invention relates to a trigger sprayer dispenser which can be used to dispense liquids in multidirections. The present invention incorporates a mechanism in a conventional trigger sprayer to allow the sprayer to be used in an inverted position without the dispenser contents leaking through a sprayer vent orifice. The mechanism comprises a by pass chamber in communication with the chamber of the dip tube. The by pass chamber then creates an auxiliary fluid path to the dip tube fluid path when the dispenser is inverted. When the dispenser is inverted, the fluid remaining in the dip tube acts as a fluid lock thereby preventing internal dispenser air from escaping out from the dip tube into the trigger sprayer. The by pass mechanism therefore, also allows for more efficient evacuation of the dispenser contents.
