    摘要: A vane assembly includes a plurality of vane units and a connecting part. Each vane unit includes a base having a through-hole positioned between opposing longitudinal faces of the base. The connecting part includes a lacing bar that is insertable into and through the through-holes for coupling at least two adjacent vane units into the vane assembly. In the vane assembly the connecting part is arranged through the through holes of the plurality of vane units clamping the vane units on the lacing bar.

    摘要: An unshrouded turbomachine impeller is disclosed. The impeller comprises a hub and a plurality of sequentially arranged blades. Each blade extends from a blade root at the hub to a blade tip and is comprised of a first blade edge and a second blade edge. A flow vane is formed between each pair of neighboring blades. A connection member extends across each flow vane between neighboring blades and rigidly or monolithically connects a first modal displacement region of a first one of the pair of neighboring blades to a second modal displacement region of a second one of the pair of neighboring blades.

    摘要: A turbomachine blade may include an airfoil and a shank coupled to the airfoil. The shank may include a cover plate having a first circumferential face and a second, opposing circumferential face. A radial cooling groove is positioned in the first circumferential face and is configured to allow a cooling fluid to pass from a first radial position to a second, different radial position relative to the platform. The radial cooling groove provides cover plate and shank cooling. In addition, the radial cooling groove may deliver fluid for purging gaps between blade platforms and cover plates, which prevents the ingestion of hot gas from the turbine flowpath.

    摘要: A retrofitted rotor blade having a longer length than an original rotor blade provided for a steam turbine rotor assembly has a tuned airfoil portion with natural resonant frequencies in a plurality of vibrational directions similar to the original rotor blade. Since lengthening the blade causes a decreased and resonant frequency, a unique combination of tuning techniques raises the resonant frequencies to the required levels. The tip of the retrofitted rotor blade is profiled to increase the natural resonant frequency in the second mode of vibration, which is in the axial direction of the rotor.
