    摘要: A vane assembly includes a plurality of vane units and a connecting part. Each vane unit includes a base having a through-hole positioned between opposing longitudinal faces of the base. The connecting part includes a lacing bar that is insertable into and through the through-holes for coupling at least two adjacent vane units into the vane assembly. In the vane assembly the connecting part is arranged through the through holes of the plurality of vane units clamping the vane units on the lacing bar.

    摘要: A compressor blade vibration reduction mechanism for a high-speed radial impeller for minimizing fatigue failures from various excitation sources. The vibration reduction mechanism includes a plurality of loose-fitting lashing pins coupling each impeller blade to an adjacent impeller blade. Each lashing pin extends through a first aperture in a blade located adjacent to the blade tip and through a second aperture of an adjacent blade. The second aperture of each blade is located a greater distance from the leading edge of the blade than the first aperture. The second aperture is located in an area of the blade having lower vibration during operation than the blade location where the first aperture is located.

    摘要: A rotor includes a disc having a plurality of blades extending therefrom. The blades include tip shrouds, each having first and second axial ends, and first and second circumferential faces. The first and second faces of adjacent tip shrouds are spaced from each other to define gaps therebetween. The first and second ends each include U-shaped slots, each having an arcuate damper wire disposed therein. The slots are aligned generally parallel to an axial centerline axis of the rotor for allowing ease of manufacture and assembly while providing effective frictional damping by the damper wires urged by centrifugal force against the slots.

    摘要: The Assembly has a submerged root, turbine-wheel-blading configuration, and utilizes circumferentially oriented, buried, friction damping wires, and continuous, overlapping, tip shrouds to minimize vibratory response. The wires, in the presence of blade vibration, simultaneously rub on both the blades and surfaces of a recess in the wheel in which the blade roots are fixed. The continuous tip shrouding provides additional damping through shroud-to-shroud interface rubbing. The assembly has a stack of identical blades, obviating any need for relatively weak locking blades or pieces. The method defines the steps of forming a peripheral recess in a wheel, in which to secure root ends of blades, and setting the damping wires (or wire) therein prior to installing the blade root ends, and uniformly spacing-apart the blades after securing the same to the wheel.
