    摘要: Embodiments include a system, method, and computer program product for a wearable smart gateway (WSG) that is capable of providing interoperability gateway functions for a variety of wearable devices. In an embodiment, the WSG detects one or more devices within a proximity that use communication interfaces supported by corresponding plug-ins installed in the memory. Then, the WSG establishes communication channels with the detected one or more devices according to configurations within the corresponding plug-ins, wherein the established communication channels forms a personal area network. The WSG may perform interoperability gateway functions to communicate data monitored by the one or more devices within the personal area network to an agency via a wide area data network.

    摘要: A remote location monitoring system, for example, a home monitoring or weather monitoring system may include one or more sensors and/or receivers at a first location such as a residence or business to be monitored. The sensors and receivers may communicate with a remote central server via a gateway device and the detection data received from the sensors and receivers may be displayed via display circuitry coupled to a processor of the gateway device. The sensors, receivers, and gateway device may be controlled by users locally or remotely via the server. Users may register to receive remote notifications of weather events and other home monitoring events. Users may also access remotely sensors and receivers to configure alerts, notifications, and automatic responses for the devices and integrated appliances at the first location.

    摘要: A centralized monitoring unit (CMU) receiving patient monitoring data from multiple patient monitoring devices includes at least two monitoring technician stations and an assignment management module. Each monitoring technician station is configured to present alarms for each patient in the group of patients to a CMU technician. The assignment management module is executable by a processing system to calculate a load index for each monitoring technician station based on alarms for patients in the group of patients. The load index for each monitoring technician station is calculated based on at least one of a number of alarms, an alarm type of each alarm, a severity of each alarm, and a duration of continuous alarming at the monitoring technician station. Assignment of the multiple patients amongst the at least two monitoring technician stations is then distributed based on the load indexes.
