    Abstract: The invention provides a method and a device for producing a winding element from a supplied wire, in particular from a round copper wire, said method and device allowing the economical and flexible production of a winding element which, when subsequently used in the field of electrical engineering as a coil or inductor fitted in a stator, ensures the highest possible groove filling factor. For this purpose, the wire is wound to a three-dimensional shape and the cross section of the wire is changed simultaneously, as a result of which separate method steps and therefore tool arrangements for three-dimensional winding of the wire as well as the change of the cross-section of the wire can advantageously be dispensed with.

    Abstract: A coil unit may include an even number of coils comprising a first coil and a second coil; and a coil holding member which holds the even number of the coils. An outer peripheral face of the coil holding member may include a side-face pair comprising a first side face and a second side face which are substantially parallel to each other. The first side face may be formed with a first protruded part around which the first coil is wound, the first protruded part being protruded to an outer peripheral side with respect to the coil holding member. The second side face may be formed with a second protruded part around which the second coil is wound, the second protruded part being protruded to an outer peripheral side with respect to the coil holding member. The first coil and the second coil may be structured from one conducting wire.

    Abstract: Techniques and mechanisms for delivering power with a transformer. In an embodiment, the transformer comprises a dielectric slab structure, a first conductor, a layer of ferromagnetic material disposed around first windings of the first conductor, and a second conductor which forms second windings around the layer of ferromagnetic material. For one of the first windings or one of the second windings, a cross-section of the winding conforms to a rectangle, wherein a width of the cross-section which is more than a height of the cross-section. A ferromagnetic material of the ferrite layer extends between successive ones of the first windings. In another embodiment, a volume fraction of the ferromagnetic material in the ferrite layer is equal to or less than ninety seven percent (97%).

    Abstract: A modular toroidal transformer core cap system, including a plurality of cap segments, wherein each respective cap segment further includes first and second spaced elongated wall members, first and second connector members connected to the respective first and second elongated wall members, and a generally flat panel member connected to and extending between the first and second elongated wall members. The first and second wall members are disposed at a predetermined angle relative one another and the first and second elongated wall members and the panel member are electrically nonconducting. An integral number of cap segments may be joined together to define an annular core cap.
