摘要: A zirconia sintered body is provided having a color tone equivalent to the color tone guides of various natural teeth and having the same aesthetics as a natural front tooth. The present invention provides a colored translucent zirconia sintered body comprising zirconia containing greater than 4.0 mol % and not greater than 6.5 mol % of yttria, less than 0.25 mol % of erbia, less than 2,000 ppm of iron oxide in terms of Fe2O3, less than 0.01 wt. % of cobalt oxide in terms of CoO, and less than 0.1 wt. % of alumina; the zirconia sintered body having a relative density of not less than 99.90%, a total light transmittance of not less than 25% and less than 40% for light having a wavelength of 600 nm at a sample thickness of 1.0 mm, and a strength of not less than 500 MPa.

The boundary surface (16) between the materials is wave-shaped comprising alternating grooves (22) and ribs (24) in the course of the dental arch, and radial in an oral-vestibular direction in the region of the anterior teeth (33) to be created. The boundary surface (16), at least in the region of the molars (26)—again as viewed in the oral vestibular direction—has parallel grooves (22) and ribs (24) forming troughs and crests of the waveform, or grooves (22) and ribs (24) such that they extend in deviation from parallel by at most 10 degrees, in particular at most 5 degrees, at least in the region of the molars (26).

摘要: A dental block for producing a dental prosthesis comprises a green body including zirconia and having a chemical composition comprising between 6.0 wt % to 20 wt % of yttria (Y2O3). The green body is subsequently sinterable, with regular sintering in air and with no post HIP processing, to product a translucent sintered body with a total light transmittance of at least 36% to light with a wavelength of 400 nm at a thickness of 0.6 mm.

摘要: A method of forming a plurality of compression moulds for moulding prosthetic tooth elements is disclosed. A natural tooth surface or a model of the natural tooth surface is scanned to obtain scan data. Based on the scan data, a first compression mould is formed comprising a first mould surface, the first mould surface having a shape corresponding to a shape of a natural tooth surface increased in size by a first scale factor. Based on the scan data, a second compression mould is formed comprising a second mould surface, the second mould surface having a shape corresponding to the shape of the natural tooth surface increased in size by a second scale factor, the second scale factor being different from the first scale factor. Prosthetic tooth elements and dental prostheses formed using the method are also disclosed.

摘要: A dental block for producing a dental prosthesis comprises a green body including zirconia and having a chemical composition including containing between 6.0 wt % or 7.5 wt % to 20 wt % of yttria (Y2O3). The green body has multiple different layers having a different chemical composition between adjacent layers. The green body has a pre-sintered translucency that is substantially the same across the multiple different layers, and subsequently has a post-sintered translucency and a post-sintered color intensity/chroma with an inverse relationship with the post-sintered translucency increasing in one direction across the multiple different layers and the post-sintered color intensity/chromes decreasing in the same direction across the multiple different layers. The green body can have a color component and a diameter of at least 90 mm and thickness of 10-25 mm.

摘要: Methods of manufacturing dental prosthesis/implants each to replace a non-functional natural tooth positioned in a jawbone of a specific pre-identified patient are provided. An example method includes the steps of receiving imaging data such as x-ray image data and surface scan data of a dental anatomy and/or a physical impression of the dental anatomy of a specific preidentified patient. The steps can also include forming a three-dimensional virtual model of at least portions of a non-functional natural tooth positioned in the jawbone of the specific pre-identified patient based on the imaging and surface scan data, virtually designing a dental implant based upon the virtual model, exporting the data describing the designed dental implant to a manufacturing machine, and custom manufacturing the dental implant for the specific patient.
