    摘要: The support is adjustable vertically in inclination and in height. It has a first lower rigid framework fast to the floor of the vehicle, a second rigid framework mounted pivotably around a horizontal axis connected to the first framework and extending over the width of the seat and a third rigid framework mounted pivotably around a second horizontal axis parallel to the first and connected to the second framework. First locking means actuate the locking and unlocking of the second framework in one or other of a plurality of its different angular positions of pivoting with respect to the first framework around the first axis, and second locking means actuate at will the locking and unlocking of the third framework in one or other of a plurality of its different angular positions of pivoting with respect to the second framework around the second axis. The first locking means are two gear sectors centred on the first axis and adapted to cooperate between themselves on locking, of which sectors one is fast to the first framework and of which the other is mounted on the second framework so as to be movable with respect to the first under the control of a rotary cam. The second locking means are also two gear sectors centred on the second axis and adapted to cooperate between themselves on locking, of which sectors one is fast to the third framework and of which the other is mounted on the second framework so as to be movable with respect to the first under the control of a second rotary cam. The two cams are constantly urged elastically towards their angular positions corresponding to locking, the gear sectors mounted on the second framework being constantly fast to the latter.

    摘要: A power seat arrangement for automobiles and the like comprising a base defining an operating way, which base operatively mounts a pair of oppositely acting bell crank levers that each have one set of arms pivotally connected to the movable seat frame to support and position same relative to the base, and a second set of arms operatively connected to an actuator mechanism for operating the bell crank levers. The actuator mechanisms for both the bell crank levers are independently operable and both include a power driven bearing unit that both cooperate with the same threaded shaft that extends longitudinally of the direction of horizontal adjustment of the seat. The bell crank levers are mounted so that their swing axes may shift longitudinally of the operating way, and their second sets of levers have a floating force transmitting connection with the respective actuator mechanisms, whereby when the bell crank levers are operated in an equal but opposite manner by said actuator mechanisms, the frame is adjusted vertically relative to the base, movement of the seat longitudinally of its way is achieved by actuator devices operating in unison in the same direction, while tilting of the seat forwardly or rearwardly is obtained by individual operation of the actuator devices.

    摘要: A locking mechanism for holding a tilting vehicle seat in a selected tilted position includes a locking element mounted on the seat adjuster which supports the seat for this tilting movement. The locking element includes an elongated arcuate slot generated about the axis of seat movement and including locking openings along each of its sides. These locking openings are arranged in opposed pairs along lines oriented at 45* to the elongated axis of the slot. A locking bar is rotatably mounted on the seat and includes an end portion of a generally rectangular cross section received within the slot in the locking element. A handle of the locking bar allows selective movement of the end portion between a first position where it is aligned with the slot to allow tilting seat movement and a second position where it is received within a selected pair of the locking openings to hold the seat in a selected tilted position. A positioning member is spring biased into engagement with a portion of the locking bar and includes a positioning groove for initially positioning the seat in an intermediate tilted position so as to align the end portion of the locking bar with the associated pair of locking openings for movement thereinto upon selected rotation of the locking bar.
