摘要： A rotation joint and methods for rotationally coupling a swing tip assembly to a fluid-dynamic body are presented. A rotation plate configured to couple to the swing tip assembly comprises a slide ring comprising an open center, an upper slide surface, an inner slide surface, and a lower slide surface. An upper joint plate is slidably coupled to the upper slide surface and the inner slide surface is configured to couple the fluid-dynamic body. A lower joint plate is slidably coupled to the lower slide surface and the inner slide surface, and is coupled to the upper joint plate through the open center. The lower joint plate is configured to couple to the fluid-dynamic body.

A lock is movable to a locked position to fix the position of the handle relative to the head when the head is in a first position relative to the handle and an unlocked position where the head is free to rotate relative to the handle. A method of operating a broom comprises providing a head supporting bristles connected to a handle at a lockable swivel joint; locking the lockable swivel joint to fix the position of the handle relative to the head in a first position; and unlocking the lockable swivel joint to allow the handle to rotate relative to the head.

The pivotal disc has a motion-limit member and a positioning member limiting the angle by which the second brace rotates with respect to the first brace with the pivotal disc being the axis and fixing the angle between the first and second braces. The present invention is characterized in that the motion-limit member uses a range-adjust member to push a slide block and determine the range that a block portion of the second brace is blocked by the slide block, and that the positioning member uses a switch knob actuates on end of a positioning rod to engage with or depart from a positioning notch on the pivotal disc, and that the pivotal disc has two limit elements to define the maximum movement range of the first brace and the second brace.

The upper part (11) and the lower part (12) are pivotally connected to one another via a pivot joint (13). The swing damper (1) also includes a brake arrangement (50). The brake arrangement (50) includes a brake unit (60) that has discs (70, 80) which are pivotal about the pivot shaft (14) of the swing joint (13), wherein at least one (70) of said discs is secured against rotation relative to the upper part (11), and wherein at least (80) of said discs is secured against rotation relative to said lower part (12). The arrangement also includes a tensioning element (90; 110; 130) which functions to press the discs (70, 80) together in a braking operation. The brake unit (60) is situated in a space (200) between two pivot hearings (46) between the upper part (11) and the lower part (12).
