摘要： A process for remanufacturing valve bodies, such as fuel injector valve bodies, includes regrinding a valve seat of a salvaged valve body with a grinding apparatus, and linking a center axis of the valve seat with a center axis of a guide bore for a valve which contacts the valve seat. Linking the center axis of the valve seat with the center axis of the bore includes contacting a locating element of the grinding apparatus with a locating surface on an outer diameter of the valve body during regrinding the valve seat. Locating on the outer diameter enables run-out between the axes to be inhibited during regrinding the valve seat based on concentric congruity between the locating surface and the bore.

摘要： A refillable external dosing valve for use in dispensing a hydrocarbon fuel for a gas auto-feed drive tool. The re-fillable dosage valve includes an entry point (5) and a non-return valve so that a fuel canister (2) is able to be reloaded after the fuel bag internally of the canister has been totally deflated. The valve is adapted to engage the canister in a manner allowing the valve to establish fluid communication with the fuel in the canister and co-operate with a refilling nozzle of apparatus adapted to deliver a substance from a reservoir through the dosing valve to refill a receptacle with said substance. The valve is also configured to include an internal metering chamber which enables a predetermined amount of fuel to be delivered to a metering chamber within the gas auto-feed drive tool. Residual gas within the canister can also be removed when the canister is to be disposed of.

Suitable active materials include, without limitation, shape memory alloys, ferromagnetic shape memory alloys, shape memory polymers, piezoelectric materials, electroactive polymers, magnetorheological fluids and elastomers, electrorheological fluids, composites of one or more of the foregoing materials with non-active materials, combinations comprising at least one of the foregoing materials, and the like. Depending on the particular active material, the activation signal can take the form of, without limitation, an electric current, a temperature change, a magnetic field, a mechanical loading or stressing, or the like.

摘要： A multi-function fluid flow control device is disclosed. A body houses a filter screen, a check valve and an orifice plate mounted on a frame which is removable from the body as a unit through an opening in the body sealed by a removable plug. The orifice plate is removable from the frame to permit different sized orifices to be fitted. An inlet in the body conducts pressurized fluid through the filter screen, through the check valve and then out through an outlet in the body, both the inlet and outlet being adapted for convenient connection to a piping network. An opening in the body in fluid communication with the inlet and sealable by a removable plug allows the screen to be flushed for removal of debris.
