    摘要: A throttle valve creates the equivalent of a small orifice by using a much larger orifice which is turned on and off periodically, creating a flow equivalent to a much smaller orifice. The ratio of on time to off time is changed to create the desired effective orifice. By using an elastomeric member to form the orifice seal, solid particles do not interfere with the operation of the valve.

    摘要: Valves for gas engines are disclosed, in particular for wastegates arranged upstream of a turbocharger. Accordingly, a valve for a gas engine, comprises a metal housing having an opening for providing a fluid flow out of the valve, and a metal valve member configured for adjustably restricting the fluid flow through the opening, wherein the housing is made of a first material comprising a steel and wherein the valve member is made of a second material having a thermal expansion coefficient being lower than the first material. By providing the valve member and the valve housing with materials with different thermal expansion coefficients, the expansion of the valve member may be reduced during a rapid temperature increase or heating up of the valve member e.g. when the gas engine is started or accelerated.

The cryogenic globe valve has an axial cylindrical portion as a long-neck structure extended to its body, in which a resin-made valve disk having a conical surface having a reduced-diameter tapered shape is attached to a lower end of an elongated stem such that the resin-made valve disk is three-dimensionally operable with respect to the stem even under an extremely low-temperature condition.
