    Abstract: A refrigerator includes a cabinet including a storage space, a drawer door located in the storage space, the drawer door including a door part and a drawer part connected to the door part, a control panel located on an upper surface of the door part, the control panel being configured to display or manipulate a setting of the storage space, and an electric wire guide module connected to the cabinet and a rear surface of the door part to connect an electric wire in the cabinet to the control panel. The electric wire guide module includes a mounting plate, a rotation connection member rotatably mounted to the mounting plate, a guide head coupled to the rear surface of the door part, and at least one connecting member connecting the rotation connection member and the guide head, the electric wire extending through the at least one connecting member.

    Abstract: A vacuum adiabatic body according to an embodiment may include a first plate, a second plate, and a seal that seals a gap between the first plate and the second plate. Optionally, the vacuum adiabatic body according to an embodiment may include a support that maintains a vacuum space. Optionally, the vacuum adiabatic body according to an embodiment may include a heat transfer resistor that reduces an amount of heat transfer between the first plate and the second plate. Optionally, the vacuum adiabatic body may include a component coupling portion connected to at least one of the first or second plate so that a component is coupled thereto. Optionally, the vacuum adiabatic body includes a port provided as a tube having a bent shape to exhaust the vacuum space. Accordingly, the vacuum adiabatic body may be improved in productivity.

    Abstract: A refrigeration unit includes a cabinet, a door coupled to the cabinet, at least one gasket coupled to the door, and a heat loop conduit. The cabinet includes a front perimeter that surrounds an opening to a storage compartment within the cabinet. The door is operable between an open position to provide access to the storage compartment and a closed position to conceal the opening to the storage compartment. The at least one gasket is configured to be compressed between the door and the front perimeter of the cabinet in the closed position of the door. The heat loop conduit has a first conduit portion that extends around a majority of the opening along the front perimeter of the cabinet and a second conduit portion that extends around the majority of the opening along the front perimeter of the cabinet.

    Abstract: A shelf assembly for a refrigerator includes a frame assembly having front and rear frame members with respective front and rear channels. A panel includes first and second ends, wherein the first end is fully received in the front channel, and further wherein the second end is partially received in the rear channel. A spacer assembly includes a spacer member and one or more clip members extending upwardly from a base portion. The clip members are clipped to mounting apertures disposed on the second portion of the rear frame member. The spacer member is received through a receiving aperture disposed through the rear frame member. The spacer member extends into the rear channel and engages the second end of the panel when the spacer assembly is clipped to the rear frame member to retain the panel in the channels of the front and rear frame members.

    Abstract: An insulating structure for an appliance includes an outer layer and an inner layer, wherein an insulating cavity is defined therebetween. A plurality of hollow nano-spheres are disposed within the insulating cavity, wherein each of the hollow nano-spheres includes a diameter in the range of from approximately 50 nanometers to approximately 1000 nanometers and has a wall that defines the internal space, and wherein the wall of each hollow nano-sphere has a thickness that is in a range of from approximately 0.5 nanometers to approximately 100 nanometers. A fill material is disposed in the insulating cavity and wherein the fill material is disposed in the space defined between the plurality of hollow nano-spheres, and wherein the fill material includes at least one of powdered silica, granulated silica, other silica material, aerogel and insulating gas.
