    Abstract: A method for forming a super-insulating material for a vacuum insulated structure includes disposing glass spheres within a rotating drum. A plurality of interstitial spaces are defined between the glass spheres. A binder material is disposed within the rotating drum. The glass spheres and the at least one binder material are rotated within the rotating drum, wherein the binder material is mixed during a first mixing stage with the glass spheres. A first insulating material is disposed within the rotating drum. The binder material, the first insulating material and the glass spheres are mixed to define an insulating base. A second insulating material is disposed within the rotating drum. The secondary insulating material is mixed with the insulating base to define a homogenous form of the super-insulating material, wherein the first and second insulating materials occupy substantially all of the interstitial spaces.

    Abstract: A modular box assembly includes a box defining a box cavity within the box, the box further defining a top end and a bottom end, the top end defining a box opening connected to the box cavity, the box including a side panel extending from the top end to the bottom end; a shoulder attached to the side panel, the shoulder extending inward from the side panel and into the box cavity, the shoulder including a first sub-shoulder and a second sub-shoulder, the first sub-shoulder, the second sub-shoulder, and the side panel defining a shoulder channel; and an inner box disposed in the box cavity, the inner box including a channel tab, the channel tab frictionally engaging the shoulder channel to secure and suspend the inner box within the box cavity between the top end and the bottom end.

    Abstract: A modular box assembly includes a box with side panels defining a box cavity, a first thermal liner positioned within the box cavity, the first thermal liner including a first insulation batt disposed between sheets, the first thermal liner defining three first liner panels, at least one box side panel being covered by a first liner panel, and a second thermal liner positioned within the box cavity, the second thermal liner including a second insulation batt disposed between sheets, the second thermal liner defining three second liner panels. At least one other of the side box panels is covered by a second liner panel. The bottom box panel is covered by either a first liner panel not covering any side box panel or a second liner panel not covering any side box panel. Each insulation batt can be formed from a mixture of thermoplastic binder fibers and reinforcement fibers.
