摘要:
A converter connection for conversion between alternating voltage and direct voltage, for connection to a power network (DCN) having a neutral pole (P0) and at least one pole (P+,P-) energized by direct voltage in relation to the neutral pole, comprises a voltage-source converter (VC) with two direct-voltage terminals (DP, DM). At least one of the direct-voltage terminals of the converter is connected by means of an electric pole conductor (W1, W12, W11, W21, W2) to at least one of the poles of the power network which are energized by direct voltage. The converter connection further comprises two valves (V7, V8) mutually series-connected at a common point of connection (J), each of said valves comprising a gate turn-off semiconductor valve (T1) and a diode valve (D1) connected thereto in anti-parallel connection, said series connection being connected between the direct-voltage terminals of the converter, and a reactor (SL) with a first terminal (T1) connected to the connection point and a second terminal (T2) which communicates with the neutral pole in an electrically conducting connection. The converter connection may be accommodated in a converter station (SR1 and SR2, respectively) included in an installation for transmission of high-voltage direct current. (FIG. 2)

A boost-buck rectifier bridge circuit topology having two diode decoupled boost stages is formed as an H-shaped bridge with the alternating voltage source comprising the center leg and the first and second H-shaped bridge arms comprising a series connected SCR and bridge diode in each of the legs and a third and fourth bridge diode in the respective third and fourth arms of the H-shaped bridge. The first boost stage is coupled between the junction of the first SCR and first bridge diode and the negative polarity DC voltage bus and a second boost stage is coupled between the positive polarity DC voltage bus and the junction of the second SCR and second bridge diode in the second arm of the H-shaped bridge so that the first boost stage is decoupled by the first bridge diode and the second boost stage is decoupled by the second bridge diode whereby the load current delivered by the circuit is carried solely by the bridge diodes and not the boost stage switching devices.

An intermittent on/off regulator type DC power supply circuit having low noise and low losses includes a voltage detector at the power source side of the circuit and/or a current detector at the load side of the circuit which feeds back voltage and or current values to a central controller and intermittently cuts off the input or output of a transformer or rectifier whenever preset voltage or current levels are exceeded thereby preventing, for example, overcharging of a battery.

Dc aerospace power supplies include neutral point controllers to interconnect primary or secondary windings of the supplies into wye connected primary or secondary circuits. In power supplies having neutral point controllers in the primary circuits, the power supplies may alternately or in addition have first and second compound wye connected secondary circuits having a separate or common neutral point.

A power supply for an electronic device such as the control circuitry of a thermostat. The power supply has a current transformer with a primary winding in series with the power line that is connected to the heating source, and a secondary winding coupled to the primary winding through a saturable magnetic core. A thyristor connected across the output terminals of the secondary winding establishes a momentary short-circuit condition when the voltage developed across the secondary winding exceeds a preset level in order to prevent the magnet core of the transformer from saturating.

A high-power-factor power supply has a full-wave rectifier for rectifying an AC line voltage, a power regulator including switch means responsive to a control signal for controlling the application of the rectifier output to a load; and a control circuit for producing a switching control signal. The control signal includes a pair of AC line detectors: a first connected in a closed-loop automatic gain control arrangement, and the other connected in an open-loop arrangement. The control circuit initially produces a CURRENT DEMAND REFERENCE signal that is directly related to the difference between the power supply DC output voltage and a self-generated constant reference, and to the waveform shape of the AC line voltage, and is inversely related to magnitude changes of the AC line voltage. The control signal then produces the switching control signal in response to both the CURRENT DEMAND REFERENCE signal and the current flowing in the power supply. The invention avoids the square law dependency of prior art high-power-factor power supplies, can operate over a broad input dynamic range, and is "self-biasing" in that the power supply itself generates any needed reference voltages.

A power supply for an AF sound stage includes a transformer and a charging capacitor for storing an operating voltage. A rectifier connects the secondary winding of the transformer to the charging capacitor. A voltage doubler circuit, which includes a series connection of a second capacitor and a first switching means, is in parallel with the secondary winding. A second switching means connects the junction of the second capacitor and the first switching means to the charging capacitor.

A device for controlling output voltage of a converter is provided. The input voltage V.sub.R is detected by means of a voltage detecting device and the phase .PHI. of the input voltage is detected by means of a phase synchronizing circuit. The detected phase is input to an AC sine wave reference oscillating circuit in order to obtain an AC sine wave reference signal having the same phase as input voltage. The output of an amplitude instruction generating circuit is multiplied by an AC sine wave reference signal by means of a multiplier in order to obtain a converter current instruction I.sub.A *. The input current I.sub.R detected by means of a current detecting device is differentiated by means of an approximation differentiator and only the resonance frequency component is detected by means of a band-pass filter. The detected resonance frequency component is multiplied by a gain K by means of a proportion device and the output os subtracted from the converter current instruction I.sub.A * by means of a subtractor. The current control amplifier and the PWM modulating circuit control a converter so as to make the output from the subtractor agree with the converter current I.sub.A * detected by a current detecting device.

DC terminals of the power converter are connected to DC bus lines of the voltage-type self-commutated conversion system. The voltage-type self-commutated conversion system further includes a DC capacitor connected between the DC bus lines, a transformer connected between an AC system and AC terminals of the power converter and a control circuit for controlling the power converter. The control circuit includes a gate control circuit for generating gate signals for determining conduction periods of the self-turn-off devices in the power converter, a first protection circuit for turning on the self-turn-off devices connected to positive side of the DC bus line in case of protective shutdown of the power converter and a second protection circuit for turning off the self-turn-off devices connected to negative side of the DC bus line in case of the protective shutdown of the power converter.
