One example is a method of operating a power converter, the method comprising: charging a first-phase inductance of a first boost converter, and then discharging the first-phase inductance, the charging and discharging defines a first switching period of the first boost converter; asserting, during the first switching period, a sync-two signal based on a duration of a prior switching period of the first boost converter and an offset value; asserting, during the first switching period, a valley-two signal when current through a second-phase inductance of a second boost converter reaches a predetermined valley current; responsive to the assertion of the sync-two signal and the valley-two signal, charging the second-phase inductance, and then discharging the second-phase inductance; and responsive to relative timing of the assertion of the sync-two signal and assertion of the valley-two signal, modifying the offset value.

    摘要: Example power factor correction circuits to correct the power factor of power converters are disclosed. An example power factor correction controller circuit includes a phase locked loop phase angle determiner to determine a first phase angle of an input voltage of the power converter and further includes a compensating current determiner to determine, based on the phase angle, a compensating current to compensate for a capacitive current introduced by at least one filter capacitor of the power converter. The power factor correction controller circuit further includes a switch controller to cause a controlled current drawn by a power stage of the power converter to be adjusted by the compensating current to reduce a phase offset between the first phase angle of the input voltage and a second phase angle of the input current drawn at an input of the power converter.

In a battery discharging mode, the DC/DC converter switches the first primary leg and the at least one secondary leg, outputting a voltage of the battery to the DC terminals via the transformer. When the motor may be driven, the DC/DC converter switches the second and third primary legs electrically disconnected from the transformer, outputting the voltage of the battery to the motor.

The electric motor includes a motor controller configured to convert AC power to a variable frequency variable voltage power for driving the electric motor according to a commanded motor output. The motor controller includes a PFC circuit configured to control a power factor of the electric motor and a microcontroller coupled to the PFC circuit and configured to activate the PFC circuit when the commanded motor output is greater than a threshold motor output, deactivate the PFC circuit when the commanded motor output is less than or equal to the threshold motor output, and generate a control signal based on the commanded motor output. The motor controller further includes an inverter configured to receive the control signal and generate the variable frequency variable voltage power according to the commanded motor output.

    摘要: Systems and methods for improving radiated electromagnetic interference (EMI) in switching power supplies are disclosed. In one aspect, a converter circuit includes a transformer having a primary winding and a secondary winding, the primary winding extending from a first primary terminal to a second primary terminal, a first switch having a first gate terminal, a first source terminal and a first drain terminal, wherein the first drain terminal is coupled to the first primary terminal, and the first source terminal is coupled to a power source, and a capacitor having a first capacitor terminal and second capacitor terminal, wherein the first capacitor terminal is coupled to the power source. A ferrite bead is coupled between the first primary terminal and the first drain terminal, and a capacitor network is coupled in parallel with the ferrite bead and arranged to reduce radiated electromagnetic interference of the converter circuit.
