Abstract:
A power transmission mechanism between an engine starter and an engine capable of securely engaging the ratchet wheel of a rotatingly driven part with the lever-like engagement/disengagement member of a centrifugal clutch mechanism when the engine is started. The side face of the lever-like engagement/disengagement member facing the ratchet teeth of a second ratchet part is formed in such a shape that is recessed in a direction apart from the peripheral surface of the second ratchet part in an area starting at its pivoting part toward an engagement/disengagement claw part. The engagement/disengagement claw part formed at the tip of the lever-like engagement/disengagement member is engaged with the ratchet teeth of the second ratchet part by surface contact, and the ratchet teeth of a first ratchet part and the ratchet teeth of the second ratchet part are disposed at a prescribed phase difference.
Abstract:
[PROBLEMS]The present invention is directed to provide a rotary cutter for a mower having a cord fastening means, wherein gripping force of a cord is strong, the cord is hard to cut from cord-gripping portions, and the fastening means is compatible with a code having a different cross-section or a bent cord.[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS]A rotary cutter for a mower is comprised of at least one cord of a predetermined length extending from the cutting head driven for rotation, at least one fastening means for fixing one end of the cord to the cutting head main body, wherein the fastening means including a pair of ratchets, each ratchet pivoted for turning on the main body and constantly applied with a rotational force in a predetermined direction by a spring, and the cord is clamped and fastened by the ratchets, an inner end portion of the cord inserted from the sidewall of the main body being fastened by the fastening means, and the cord being removed and replaced with a new cord when the cord is worn out, characterized in that the fastening means including a pair of ratchets is further comprised of at least two or more sheets of laminated ratchets.
Abstract:
A starter for a small-sized engine, capable of reliably starting the engine by a rope reel and stably supporting a drive cam. The starter has, received in a starter case, a cylindrical drive cam having a starter clutch mechanism, the rope reel for a recoil starter, and a starter motor, where the drive cam can be selectively operably connected to the rope reel or a starter motor. The rope reel is directly operably connected to the drive cam through a one-way clutch mechanism. Support plates are formed projected from the inner surface of the starter case toward the outer peripheral surface of the drive cam. Opposite ends of the drive cam are rotatably supportedly fitted into bearing holes formed in the support plates.
Abstract:
A recoil starter includes: a rope reel on which a recoil rope, one end of which is held on an outside of a starter case, is wound and which is fitted turnably on a reel pivot formed on an inside of the starter case; a recoil spring that turns and energizes the rope reel in a direction along which the recoil rope is rewound; a cam member one end of which is fitted turnably onto the reel pivot to oppose to the rope reel and which transfers a turning to an engine side via a ratchet mechanism; and a coil spring-like damper spring both ends of which are engaged with the rope reel and the cam member respectively; a bearing portion that supports turnably the cam member; and a dust cover provided integrally with the starter case.
Abstract:
A recoil starter enabling a power-driven device to be coupled to a crankshaft of an engine in a state where the recoil starter is mounted to the crankshaft on the same side of the engine as the crankshaft is disposed on. A starter housing is provided on an inside thereof with a reel support shaft which projects coaxially with the crankshaft. A rope reel having a recoil rope wound thereon and a cam, which transmits rotation via centrifugal ratchets to the crankshaft, are rotatably mounted on the reel support shaft while they are rotatingly coupled to each other via a damper spring. An opening is formed in the reel support shaft so as to extend from a distal end thereof near the crankshaft to the outside of the starter housing. A drive shaft of the device is coupled to the crankshaft inside the opening. An annular plate is secured to the starter housing to prevent the cam and rope reel from being detached from the reel support shaft.
Abstract:
A recoil starter in which a side face of a rope reel is formed with a ring-like recess portion for containing a damping force storing member, a boss portion of a cam is contained at inside of the ring-like recess portion and the damping force storing member is contained between an inner peripheral face of the ring-like recess portion and an outer peripheral face of the boss portion of the cam, an inner side of the boss portion of the cam is formed with a ratchet mechanism for engaging and disengaging the cam to and from the rope reel, when the rope reel is rotated by traction of the recoil rope, the both members are disengaged from each other and when the rope reel is rotated in a direction of reeling back the recoil rope, the both members are engaged with each other.
