    摘要： In a starter with which a pinion movable body with which a pinion gear and a one-way clutch were united moves on an output shaft, a holder is attached to the one-way clutch. A seal component having the shape of a ring is provided so that an end of an outer circumference of the seal component is fixed to a nose part of a housing and an end of an inner circumference of the seal component slidably contacts an outer circumferential surface of the holder. The holder is provided so that relative rotation to the one-way clutch is possible. Since the holder doesn't rotate relative to the housing, wear of a seal component is reduced compared with the case where the seal component contacts the one-way clutch which rapidly rotates whereby the sealability preventing a foreign substance or water from infiltrating into the inside of the starter can be maintained.

    摘要： An engine start device having a first start mode in which the engine is started on a spot by executing a start operation of the engine, and a second start mode in which a necessary accumulated force is previously accumulated in to start in one time in an optional place at an optional timing. In the first start mode, an accumulated force, accumulated by a rotation of a rotation drive section allows the engine to be started on the spot. If switched to the second start mode, the rotation of the rotation drive section is exclusively accumulated and released in the optional place at a desired time so as to start the engine in accordance with a one-touch operation.

The drive assembly includes a gear train disposed in the housing, with the gear train in operable communication with a first end of an armature shaft. A pinion gear is in operable communication with a second end of the output shaft. A spacer is disposed between the gear train and the housing. The spacer is disposed and configured to hold the gear train fixed relative to the housing but allow the gear train to rotate relative to the housing when a selected slippage torque is applied to the gear train.

    摘要： An engine starter includes an electric driving motor having a drive shaft; a transmission pinion coupled to the drive shaft; a starter pinion meshing with the transmission pinion; and a swiveling device mounted on the drive shaft for pivotal motion thereabout. The starter pinion is rotatably supported in the swiveling device. A friction clutch torque-transmittingly couples the drive shaft to the swiveling device for causing the swiveling device to pivot about the shaft for placing the starter pinion in a working position when the shaft is rotated in a driving direction. The engine starter further has an overrunning device for transmitting a driving torque between the drive shaft and the transmission pinion solely when the drive shaft rotates at least at the same speed as the transmission pinion.
