摘要: Systems and methods are provided for user interfaces that aid a user in rule-based workflow generation. The system accesses activities available at a print shop, displays the available activities to a user at a sequence bar that sorts the activities by their priority, receives input from the user defining a rule that relates to a print shop activity, and stores the rule in a memory. Further, the system determines that a workflow of activities to perform has been generated for a print job of the print shop based upon the rule, wherein the workflow comprises an ordered subset of the activities available at the print shop, accesses the workflow, and displays the workflow of activities to the user.

摘要: An apparatus, system, and process for printing on variable form media are provided. Variable form media has a variety of physical configurations. Each physical configuration may have a unique print target for receiving printing. The apparatus, system, and process include a computer configured to receive text information. The computer organizes the text information as relocatable print data. The relocatable print data may be printed at one or more print targets on one or more variable form medias. Each print target has a distinct position, orientation, and dimensions. The computer further calculates spatial print data directed to a specific variable form media from the relocatable print data. The spatial print data specifies the position, orientation, and dimension of the relocatable print data. The apparatus, system, and process print the spatial print data on the variable form media. In addition, the apparatus, system, and process may render the spatial print data and the variable form media on a display.

摘要: An image inspection apparatus includes a first-image obtaining unit, a scanned-image obtaining unit, a second-image obtaining unit, first and second registration units, a combining unit, and an inspection unit. The first-image obtaining unit obtains a first image generated by scanning a sheet on which a predetermined image has been printed. The scanned-image obtaining unit obtains a scanned image generated by scanning a printed matter produced by printing a second image additionally on the sheet. The second-image obtaining unit obtains the second image. The first registration unit performs registration between the first and scanned images. The second registration unit performs registration between the second image and the scanned image. The combining unit generates a master image by combining the first and second images based on registration results performed by the first and second registration units. The inspection unit inspects the printed matter by comparing the scanned image against the master image.

摘要: A treatment target reforming device decreases a pH value of a surface of a treatment target using a dielectric-barrier discharge. The treatment target reforming device includes: a discharge electrode and a counter electrode which are disposed so that a conveying path of the treatment target is interposed therebetween; and a power supply which applies a repetitive pulse voltage with an output voltage equal to or larger than 10 kVp-p and smaller than 13 kVp-p to the discharge electrode.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for predictively tracking expected print jobs. The system comprises a memory that identifies categories of print jobs, and that stores rules that indicate how often print jobs will be received at a presentation system. The system also comprises a control unit operable to identify a rule for a category of print jobs, to analyze the rule to generate a predicted schedule of print jobs expected for receipt at the presentation system, and to determine whether expected print jobs have been received at the presentation system in accordance with the schedule. The control unit is further operable to generate an alert if an expected print job has not been received at the presentation system in accordance with the schedule.

摘要: An inkjet head that is able to circulate ink. The inkjet head includes a diaphragm plate, a first restrictor plate, one or more chamber plates, a second restrictor plate, and an orifice plate. The orifice plate forms a plurality of nozzles. The chamber plates form a plurality of chambers corresponding with the nozzles, and also form a return manifold for receiving ink from the chambers when circulating the ink through the inkjet head. The diaphragm plate forms a diaphragm that seals the chambers. The first restrictor plate controls a flow of ink between the chambers and the return manifold to circulate the ink through the inkjet head. The second restrictor plate controls the flow of ink between a supply manifold and the chambers.

摘要: Configurations provide rapid adjustment to an aircraft attitude in the water upon an emergency water landing. In one configuration, an aircraft fuselage has a forward compartment that includes a water intake and an air vent. The water intake is located below an expected waterline upon ditching the aircraft in water and transports a flow of water to the forward compartment at a designed flow rate. The air vent is positioned at a height in the forward compartment and allows a desired volume of water to fill the forward compartment and adjust an attitude of the aircraft within a time period.
