摘要： Covers the combination of a toilet bowl and an anchor plate for mounting the toilet bowl on the floor of a room. The underside of the toilet bowl is provided with two tapered lugs or other projections which are to receive two corresponding projections of the anchor plate. The structure enables the toilet bowl to be adjusted in its relative position with respect to the anchor plate so that the bowl may be slid or moved, within predetermined limits, to meet the rear wall of the room where the bowl may be attached and held firmly against the anchor plate and against the floor.

摘要： A fiber-reinforced metal composite of desired shape is produced by consolidating a mixture of the metal matrix and the fibers under pressure with the mixture maintained at a temperature in which the matrix system is partly in the liquid phase and partly in the solid phase, utilizing a liquid-phase extrusion die cavity of predetermined volume. With approximately one quarter of the matrix system in the liquid phase, and containing up to approximately 50 percent by volume of oriented fibers or whiskers, the material of the composite billet is extruded into the die cavity in order to consolidate the composite billet to the volume of the die cavity, in which the desired shape is to be formed. Heating is discontinued when the cavity is filled completely by the semi-molten metal fiber composite.

摘要： Covers metal casting methods and apparatus to minimize the formation of voids and to improve the quality of the final cast product. The casting mold, which is preferably positioned adjacent to other parts of the casting apparatus, is provided with an opening preferably adjacent to a ''''hot spot'''' of the casting space where the poured metal would be expected to solidify at a relatively slower rate, so that some of the molten metal will reach through and beyond the opening and form a metallic nib or projection. The casting equipment, which includes a movable rod, is operated to drive the rod against the nib or projection to force it through the opening surface and into pressurized contact with the casting material to overcome the voids which would otherwise be produced within the cast product.

摘要： The disclosure covers a furnace system including therein a furnace or ladle having a good-sized reservoir which is fludically coupled to a tower, called a charging tower, into which molten material from the reservoir is to be drawn by suction. The molten material is then transmitted under pressure into the cavity of a mold system, and the path from the charging tower to the mold system may include a second tower, called a pouring tower. Although both towers are fluidically connected to the reservoir the connections are arranged to prevent or reduce to an acceptable minimum, the back-flow of the molten material to the reservoir.

Then there will be a predetermined pause during which neither soap nor water will be dispensed, after which the flow of water will be reinstated and the flow continued until the user has departed from the plumbing fixture.
