摘要： A CPU detects whether or not a type of a tape cassette housed in a cassette housing portion is a stripped-tape accommodating cassette that creates an after-printed tape with a separator being peeled off from its adhesive layer. In case the CPU detects that the type of the tape cassette in the cassette housing portion is a stripped-tape accommodating cassette that creates an after-printed tape with a separator being peeled off from its adhesive layer, only one after-printed tape in predetermined length with a separator being peeled off from its adhesive layer is made subject to tape printing, and consequently conveyed to a cutting point, whereby tape printing is terminated.

摘要： There is provided a tape printing apparatus capable of improving durability performance of a cutting mechanism constituted of a fixed blade and a movable blade tremendously. The bottom edge portion of an opening portion in a rear frame is formed to be located below the bottommost end portion of the V-shaped tip of this movable blade by a predetermined height (for example, about 3 mm to 5 mm) when the movable blade is located at the lowest point, that is, a home position. That is, even when the movable blade is located at the lowest point, there is formed a gap of a predetermined distance (for example, a distance of about 3 mm to 5 mm) in the vertical direction between the bottommost end portion of the V-shaped tip of the movable blade and the bottom end edge portion of the opening portion.

In the holder support member, a mounting piece which is substantially rectangular in section and formed protruding outward on a positioning holding member of a roll sheet holder is fitted. The tape printer further includes a flat portion formed substantially horizontally between a rear edge of an insertion opening through which a roll sheet is inserted into the tape printer. On the flat portion, a front portion of a guide member is placed. At a rear edge of the flat portion in the feeding direction, at plural positions corresponding to various kinds of the roll sheets having different widths, there are formed four second positioning grooves in which part of the guide member is fitted.

摘要： A roll sheet is unwound and fed with its side edge being positioned in a reference point of the thermal head, and then subjected to printing by the thermal head. Coil springs are placed at positions respectively dividing substantially equally a length from a center to each end of the thermal head. A distribution of loads on the thermal head by each coil spring is determined so that a load exerted on the thermal head on the reference point side is larger than a load exerted on the thermal head on the opposite side. A position of a resultant force of the coil springs acts on the thermal head at a position displaced by a distance obtained by multiplying an entire length of the thermal head by a coefficient, from a center of the thermal head in the longitudinal direction toward the reference point.

摘要： A top cover and a guide member form a discharge port. A plurality of guide ribs is provided on an edge portion of the top cover. A plurality of projecting pieces is provided on a guide member at positions not to face to the guide ribs. These guide ribs and projecting pieces are used for guiding a roll sheet to a discharge port. At least one of the guide ribs is provided with an extended portion extending upstream in a feeding direction to prevent the roll sheet 3A from curving in a direction vertical to the feeding direction. Thus, the inability to discharge the roll sheet can be avoided.
