Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for processing a stream of image frames captured by a camera system. When an image frame from the stream of image frames is dropped, a current camera movement is determined. A substitute image frame for the dropped image frame is generated. The substitute image frame comprises a reference to a previous image frame and includes one or more motion vectors estimated solely based on the determined current camera movement. Remaining image frames in the stream of image frames are encoded and the substitute image frame is inserted at the place of the dropped image frame in the stream of encoded image frames.

Abstract: There is provided an image pipeline and a method therein for intra-coding an image frame. The image pipeline comprises a processing part followed by an encoding part supporting a plurality of intra-prediction modes used for intra-coding image frames. The method comprises receiving an image frame and for at least one block of pixel values in the image frame: predicting pixel values of the at least one block of pixel values using an intra-prediction mode supported by the encoding part and updating the image frame by adjusting at least one pixel value within the at least one block of pixel values so as to reduce a residual between the at least one pixel value and a corresponding predicted pixel value. Further, the method comprises intra-coding the updated image frame using at least one out of the plurality of intra-prediction modes.

Abstract: The present application concerns access control for controlling unlocking of a door (102) at the presentation of credentials (108) at the door. Abstract: A method for counting a number of moving objects that cross at least one predefined curve in a scene comprises making detections of positions of one or more moving objects in the scene, tracking the positions of the moving objects over time based on the detections to produce one or more corresponding tracks, wherein each track is described by a time dependent probability density function, calculating, for each moving object, a success probability pi that the moving object succeeded to cross the at least one predefined curve in the scene, wherein the success probability is calculated by using the time dependent probability density function describing the track of the moving object, and calculating an expected value and a variance of a number of moving objects that crossed the at least one predefined curve by summing success probabilities pi and summing products pi(1−pi) of success and corresponding failure probabilities, respectively.
